[Shaggy] That's my pal.

Scooby-Dooby-Doo.

[lightning crashing]

[growling]

This Northwood's trip sure is a great idea.

Yeah, there sure are some great fishing spots up here.

You heard what he said, Scoob.

Like I think we should practice our casting.

Like, let her rip.

[laughing] Okay.

Zoinks! You really hooked him, Scoob.

Hey, something's wrong.

Jinkies! The river's flooded the road.

[Fred] 'Hang on. There's a side road.'

Oops.

Help! Like, dog overboard.

Uh!

Yeow!

Scooby, look out.

Quick, Scoob, reel yourself in.

creek

thud

Like, welcome aboard, Scoob.

Hey, thanks.

That's strange. Rivers usually flood during the spring thaw.

But it's fall now.

"Welcome to Canada?"

Our detour took us all the way to border.

"Bottomless Lake, two miles."

[Fred] '"Best pike fishing in Canada."'

Mmm, I like pike.

Let's keep on going into Canada.

Bottomless Lake sounds like a great place to camp.

Bottomless Lake, eh?

You'll have the whole place to yourselves.

[gulps] I sure don't like the sound of that.

Straight ahead. You can't miss it.

Can't miss it, huh? I'd say we're lost.

Wait a minute.

Shaggy, you and Scoob can ask

directions at that cabin over there.

[Shaggy] 'That spooky place? You gotta be kiddin', Velma.'

Haven't you guys heard of Canadian hospitality?

Hah! People just love to feed strangers.

- Really? - Sure.

There's probably a big pot of stew on the fire right now.

Like, say no more.

I can taste that stew already.

slurp

Delicious.

roar

- Yikes! - Look out, Scoob.

'Like, I think that beast thinks you look delicious.'

Help!

Help!

"Bottomless Lake village, one mile."

This must be the right road.

Quick, get the van started.

'There's a terrible beast after us.'

Yes.

roar

I think we should check this out. Come on.

Like, this is where we saw him.

[Fred] 'Well, there's nothing here now.'

- Yikes! - Look out! It's the beast.

Well, I guess that explains your beast.

Let's get back into the van and head into town.

roar

Jinkies! That officer wasn't kidding.

This place looks deserted.

No wonder with that bug-eyed beast on the loose.

Maybe we can find someone at the service station.

[Fred] 'We need some gas anyway.'

Like, it sure looks closed to me.

Hey, look. "Klondite gold heist.

'Millions of dollars worth of gold ingots taken."'

Like, that's a lot of ingots.

Hmm, that paper's three weeks old.

'This town's been empty a long time.'

[male #1] 'Huh huh. It has indeed.'

Yikes!

Don't worry, my friends

you have worst things to fear than the Le Beau.

Like, you can say that again.

I have seen many strange things in these Northwoods

'but the most terrifying is the beast of Bottomless Lake.'

Beast!

[whining]

You mean, you've seen it too?

I'm afraid so.

The faster we service the Mystery Machine

the faster we can get out of here.

Uh-huh.

[Shaggy] 'Scoob, you clean the windshield while I take care of the tires.'

There is an ancient legend of a glowing-eyed

evil spirit of the lake, and three weeks ago

'the legend became a reality.'

'Weird lights were seen moving'

'in the deepest part of the lake.'

'Then, without warning'

'the level of the lake began to sink'

'leaving our boats stranded high and dry.'

bam

Shaggy, help!

Hold on, Scoob, I'm comin'.

I, myself, have seen a hideous beast in the lake

in the woods scaring everyone away.

Like, the van's ready. We can leave now.

Hold on, Shag, I think we've stumbled on to a mystery.

So, let's stumble out of it, like, fast.

[both] Oops.

Mr. Taylor, I thought you'd left town with the others.

I came here to catch a giant pike

and no beast is going to scare me off.

Can you sell me some bait?

Take it all, I won't be needing it.

I am leaving town right now.

You like, need some company?

Ah, how about a pet?

Sorry, guys, but we're staying.

Where can we stock up on provisions?

[chuckles] Johnson's Market is just up the street

but if you are smart, you will leave town like the rest of us.

Thanks for the advice, but we'd like to check out

Bottomless Lake for ourselves.

[Fred] 'Come on, g*ng, the market looks abandoned.'

Well, we'll just take what we need

'and leave the money on the counter.'

- Sh-Shaggy! - Yikes! The beast!

Beast, huh, it's just a cat.

[giggles]

"Johnson's Family Market."

The Johnson's must have left their cat behind.

Oh. Oh, I didn't know anyone was here.

- Like, who are you? - I'm Julie Johnson.

My parents own this market, and we left with all the others

but I came back to get my cat.

[scared meow]

Your dog must have scared her.

Dog? What dog?

We just wanted to buy some groceries

before we set up camp down by the lake.

The lake is dangerous. No one goes there anymore.

I have a hunch that the strange happenings here

are related to the lake.

So we're going there now.

'Thanks for the groceries.'

[Daphne] 'Hey, look, the lake has been shrinking.'

We'll pitch camp here for the night

and check out the lake in the morning.

Not us, like, we're taking our sleeping bags

as far away from this creepy lake as we can.

You said it.

Like, no beast from the lake is gonna disturb us here, Scoob.

[yawns] Let's hit the hay.

[Scooby] 'Shaggy, I'm trapped.'

Like, you're too uptight, Scoob. Here, let me help you unwind.

Thanks.

Nighty-night, Shaggy.

Yikes!

[Velma] 'Scooby, Shaggy. Come here.'

Listen to that thunder.

But there's not a cloud in the sky.

Zoinks! Scoob, did you hear that?

Unh-unh.

Like that's a cotton pickin' good idea, Scooby.

[giggling]

Seems to be coming from the lake. Let's go.

Look! Come on, girls, we've got to check out those lights.

Shaggy, you and Scooby guard the camp while we're gone.

Yeah, like we better keep an eye on the food.

Good idea.

Uh, maybe we should put all this in a safe place.

Fred, Velma, Daphne.

[panting] We caught the beast. Like, he's trapped inside.

Good work, guys. Let's get him.

[Daphne] 'This place is empty.'

But the beast gotta be in here.

[Shaggy] 'Like, you need new shoes, Scoob.'

That's strange. This rug is wet.

Wow. There's a trap door.

It's a secret tunnel, and look what I found.

[Fred] It looks like green clay.

Hmm. It could be a clue.

Shaggy, you and Scoob stand guard

'while we see where this tunnel leads.'

Like, for once, Scoob, we got the best of the deal.

[giggling]

roar

- Yikes! The beast! - Yikes! The beast.

Run, Scoob.

Quick, Scoob, into the Mystery Machine.

Oh, boy, we're safe now.

[rumbling]

Quick, Shaggy, step on it.

I'm trying, Scoob. I'm trying.

Yikes!

roar

- Good work, Shaggy. - Just leave the driving to me.

Whoa!

[screaming]

Leave the driving to you, huh?

- Zoinks! Here comes old ugly. - Run, Shaggy.

roar

[gulps] Like, it's the devil or the deep blue sea, Scoob.

- Shaggy, look. - 'A life raft.'

[roaring]

[Shaggy] 'Boy, do we need one now.'

Way to go, Scoob. Last one in is a rotten egg.

roar

There's a light up ahead.

We must be near the end of the tunnel.

[Shaggy] 'Help!'

Jinkies! It's Scooby and Shaggy.

[both] 'Help!'

And look, the beast's after them.

Faster, Shaggy.

splat

[both] Whoa!

Fred, Velma, Daphne.

You're safe now, guys.

'The beast is returning to the bottom of the lake.'

Like, we're lucky we found this life raft.

That's no life raft, Shaggy. It's an inflatable pontoon.

Hmm. Something was strapped on to this pontoon.

'It's a wooden plank.'

[Daphne] 'With the letters KL on it.'

You realize your splashing has scared off my pike?

[both] Unh-unh.

See that it doesn't happen again.

I think the key to this mystery is at the bottom

of Bottomless Lake.

Shaggy, you and Scooby go into town

'and get scuba gear for all of us.'

Right, Velma.

We'll keep looking for clues on the beach.

[growls]

[Shaggy] 'Zoinks! Mr. Le Beau left so fast'

'he didn't even lock up, Scoob.'

- Okay, like, load me up. - Okay.

Masks.

'Fins.'

'Snorkels.'

- Tanks. - You're welcome.

Not thanks, Scooby. Scuba tanks.

Oh.

[giggles]

Look, the beast's footprints.

[Daphne] 'But they weren't here before.'

- 'And they lead toward town.' - Let's go.

Like, we have to fill these tanks with air

from the compressor in back.

Yikes! The beast.

roar

screech

Like, I hope this works, Scoob.

Scooby, Shaggy. Is that you?

Ye-e-eah.

Yeah.

The beast's footprints led directly here.

- Did you see it? - It went that way.

What's going on?

Oh, Mr. Le Beau, we thought you left town.

I did, but my cab broke down about a mile from here.

I came back for some parts.

We hope you don't mind if we borrow some of your scuba gear.

If you kids are crazy enough to go diving in Bottomless Lake

I'm not going to stop you. Good luck.

[gulps]

[gulps] Like, I think we're gonna need it.

We're gonna get to the bottom of this mystery.

- Aren't you guys coming? - Huh?

Like, we're staying up here, Daphne, where it's safe.

[Velma] Okay, guys. Suit yourself.

roar

Oh, like I think Velma was right, Scoob.

Suit yourself.

roar

[instrumental music]

Like, grab hold, Scoob.

Hmm. Just as I suspected. Wooden crates. I wonder.

Fred, Velma, Daphne.

What made you guys change your minds?

Like, that web-footed weirdo paid us a visit

but we gave him the slip, right, Scoob?

[roaring]

[both] Yikes!

Come on, everyone. Let's get out of here.

roar

This way, Scoob.

Like, I think we're gonna make it.

But then again..

roar

Look, it's the beast.

Quick, get this door open. We'll trap it inside.

Like, hang on, Scoob.

crash

We've got him.

Ah! Like, I guess we k*lled him.

roar

Yikes!

Oh, no! We've trapped Scooby and Shaggy with the beast.

Like, Scoob, I think we just let the lake in. Put on your mask.

[indistinct screaming]

Yikes!

[Scooby-Doo] 'Shaggy!'

Like, he-e-elp!

Me too.

It's just about time for the boss' latest shipment.

Look, here it comes.

- Hey! - Look out!

[Shaggy and Scooby] Help!

crash

Hold on. We're coming.

Good work, guys.

Nothing to it. He he he.

Alright, the game is up.

[Shaggy] It's Julie, but, like, but, like, why did she do it?

To scare people off while she smuggled

the stolen Klondite gold out of the country.

The stolen gold? How did you know that?

[Velma] 'When the Johnson's cat ran away from her'

'we suspected she wasn't their daughter.'

Then, we found a wooden plank with KL written on it.

The first two letters of the Klondite.

[Fred] 'The gold was taken to the deserted cabin'

transported through a secret passageway down to the lake.

Julie disguised as the beast which swim

the loot down to the cavern.

And launch the crates through the airlock

into the underwater tunnel.

[Fred] 'The pontoons would float the crates'

'and these two would catch them in a net downstream.'

- Scooby, you got one. - I know. I know.

Since the lake is divided by the international border

the loot would go from Canada to the US

'without being discovered at any customs checkpoint.'

Yikes! The beast!

[laughing]

What about this green stuff we found at the cabin?

Like, I'd say, it's just harmless clay, right, Scoob.

Right, Shaggy.

boom

Wrong. That was a hunk of the plastic expl*sive they used

to blast the underwater tunnel.

So the explosions were the thunder we heard

and the tunnel was what caused the lake's level to drop

and the river to flood.

And there's some of the stolen gold.

I guess that wraps up this case. Let's go.

Well, I guess the town and the lake will start

filling up again, now that the mystery is solved, eh?

And we'll finally be able to scare up some fish.

Right, Scoob?

[howling]

[howling continues]

[all laughing]
