challenge, you will be working
in four teams of three, and each
team will have a team captain.
So we have another team
challenge, and I just don't want
Bert at all.
I am not happy about another
team challenge.
I just basically don't think I
relate to really any of the
designers on a lot of levels.
I want to win and I want to
choose the person that's gonna
work with me.
I do not want Bert.
And to determine who will be
the team captain, you guys all
have to run once around the
track, which is 200 meters, and
then the top four runners will
be the team captains.
All this time while they are
explaining the challenge, I'm
just thinking, I am not happy
being here.

I am very excited.
My model number one is working
it.
I told her to be very rock and
roll.
The motorcycle jacket looks
amazing and the dress is totally
working.
That jacket is crazy.
It's awesome.
I think the whole vibe is
really cool.
I'm just loving the whole look.

I think it looks phenomenal.
It's definitely a wearable,
rocker kind of look that I feel
like a lot of people would want
to wear.
I just feel like it looks
fantastic.

We managed to reach a certain
level of cohesion and also
present a decently interesting
collection, so I thought that
was an amazing job done.

Out of our collection, my
dress is my favorite.
I think it's very cute.
I think a lot of girls would
like to wear it, and I think
it looks very polished.
I really am proud of my dress.
I think it looks so good.

I am pleasantly surprised.
I really like it.
We decided to use snap details,
we have black suede going,
and all the looks look great
with the New Balance sneakers.
After reviewing that with
Heidi, the jacket's the only
thing we kept.
Everything else is brand new.
We really pulled it
together at the last minute.

As I'm watching my team's
collection come down the runway,
I think it looks really good,
it looks cohesive, and I was a
big contributor to the overall
look, so without that, I think
the collection could have gone
in a totally different
direction.

My look just fell apart.
You know, to me it looks like a
hot mess.
It was not me.
It was not anything that I
typically would do.
That's it, in short, down the
runway.
I really should have stuck with
my gut on this one.

The vest looks good, but the
rest of it just is not exactly
the correct fabric that I wanted
to use and it was literally put
together in the morning.
But I do think my look works
with the shoes.
I think that that's a saving
point.

It looks amazingly fresh and
young and what I wanted it to
look like.
She's on her way to work.
Yeah, and she didn't want to
wear her heels on the street.
Yeah.
I could see some things that
I didn't like about the
construction, but I thought it
looked great.

I'm pretty happy with how it
looks.
It's very me.
There was a great flavor and a
great feel to it, and it was
very fresh.
There's something also really,
you know, urban and ethnic and
fantastic about it.
I think it turned out amazing.

I'm a little concerned about
my look because it's not 100% my
design, but I have to own it,
you know, or I'm gonna look like
an idiot, even though it's not
completely mine.
But I think the collection looks
decent, so I have hope.

On my own dress, there are
little things that I would tweak
and it doesn't necessarily read
athletic wear, so there's
definitely a little anxiety.
But overall, it looks great and
I think this piece is something
that people will wear.

Well, this was a little bit
all over the place today.
Within each team, we had looks
that we liked and looks that we
didn't like so much, and this
means that there wasn't a clear
high or a lower team, so now we
have to talk to all of you
guys and figure out who did
what.

Anthony Ryan's team first, and
the rest of you can leave the
runway and we'll bring you back
out in a little bit.

I just think that those two
groups that were left up there
had the most complications.

Anthony Ryan, please tell us
about your looks and who did

The first one's Bert's.
He did a skirt and then worked
with the print in a little bit
of a different way from his
original sketch.
The second one's mine.
I'm not crazy about the bottom
half.
In the end, it felt like gym
shorts.
And then Laura did the last one.
We still kept the original top
that she had 'cause that was one
of the things you really liked.
And how did you guys work
together?
Uh, Laura and I worked very
well together.
Bert, I feel like he just kind
of, you know, didn't want too
much to do with us.
I sort of disagree with that.
I walked up to them.
I said, "Listen, let's do this
as a team."
They said, "Sketch something a
little drapier," so I went with
the top that you saw.
Anthony Ryan, do you like
Bert's look?
No, I don't.
I think it looks like a c*ck
waitress, and I expressed that
to him from the get-go, and he
was not willing to compromise or
change with what me and Laura's
opinions both were.
When you left, we had our
discussion, and he said, "Fine,
let's do that."
We had a confrontation with
you, saying, "We really feel
like you need to budge on your
look.
We just--we need to tweak
something.
Let's discuss it."
I was asking for jersey to
work with my top, and no, there
was no give or take.
"No, Bert, you're using this
woven fabric."
So I said--I said, "Fine, I will
work with it.
We're a team.
If that's what you want, it's
such a graphic pattern, let's
use it, and I'll try to do the
best I can with it."
Here's a--the one thing that
I asked is that we--
Our tastes are very, very
different.
We did have that
conversation, did we not, that
Anthony and I felt that this--
Your looks needed to change.

And we worked really--

and I were willing to work with
each other, and I even said,
from the get-go, "This looks

I think the attempt of the
vest is quite nice.
If you had something long and
drapey, it could be that sort of
grungy, sort of loose vibe.
Other than the fact that
you've got that same fabric, I

What do you have to say for
yourself and your team?
I mean, all I can say is
that I just got caught up in
just trying to work with
everyone.
Laura was a pleasure to work
with.
She and I really tried to
just help each other out.
I think that's what a team
should be.
It was--it was distracting
and hard and, yeah, not the
outcome I think we were hoping
for, but--
Joshua.
As the leader, I had a hand
probably in most of the pieces,
but I primarily did Sonia, who
is in the middle.
Becky worked on our first look,
and Anya took the initiative on
our maxi dress.
The hours that I gave you
guys to design more clothes, I
feel like you used it to start
bedazzling your clothes.
Well, I love a great pop
color, and I think, you know,
the hot pink, it gives it a
little something but it's not
too over the top.
In terms of my piece, without
the detailing on the front, it
really looked really generic.
Your look is my favorite
look.
It goes really well with the
sneakers.
It walked great down the runway.
I love the back.
I think it's sexy.
I think it's now.
I think that there's tons of
girls that would want to wear
that in the summer.
It's very flattering on the
collarbone and on your model.
The fit is really beautiful.

What bothers me a little bit
about that dress, you took
something very soft, you tried
to tailor it a little bit too
much.
Now Joshua, your outfit is

shredded jacket.

I think that the clothes that
she's doing might be a little on
that edge of what I've seen.
So you basically, you're
saying you designed this.
We designed the skirt
together.
She designed the top for us as a
group.
It was very difficult to be
on this team.
I feel like I was picked as a
seamstress and not a designer.
I won the race.
I'm the leader.
Every idea I had was shot
down immediately.
So she's gonna be upset and
throw me under the bus that I
had the authority to tell her
what to do?
There's nothing that I can do
further about it.
You guys could have had a

But they had the same fighting,
but you have more of a
collection than they have.

The strongest one that we
thought was gonna lead was Erika
in the middle.
Olivier did this top.
He designed this and Joshua
sewed it.
I did the jacket and also I did
the dress.

did the pants.
My favorite look is yours.
The dress is quite cute.
I love the leather jacket.
I mean, the jacket, I have to
say, is really well done.
It looks so expensive.
I mean, it looks like a
million bucks.

What I love about the
T-shirt, it's really interesting
'cause this is meant to be
street wear, and the way that
you've done the holster, it
looks like a backpack.
Everybody's always trying to
reinvent the T-shirt, and I like
the angle of the neck.
I really like this
collection.
I like this kind of Road Warrior
look.
Who came up with this vibe?
I probably brought it up
because of the jacket.
The jacket, it's such a
motorcycle jacket, so it's a
little edgy girl.
Which makes sense.

I did the dress here in the
middle.
Danielle did the tank there on
the end and the leather jacket
here.
Kimberly did the shorts, this
knit top, and the skirt there on
the end.
Your dress looks fantastic.
I like the shoulder line, the
darting with the pleat at the
waist, the snaps on the side.
It's a garment that works with
the sneaker but also could be--
with heels.
You had full control over
your own look.
The other two looks, it doesn't
seem like one person designed it
and made it.
It's a little bit of a mixture.
I think this turquoise silk rag
tank is just terrible.
The blouse is just like a
souffle that flopped.
I feel that you are doing
that same thing.
You've done the green blouse
before and now it's kind of a
version--
It did start out as something
different and then it was gonna
go with a short, like, a
tight-fitting short, but we
scrapped that.
And that's a bra underneath
or is it that--
Oh, no, it's the lining that
sort of--
Just the knit.
Oh, it's knit lining in black
in the silk?
You know that you can't mate
those two things together.
It's really, it's sloppy.
What I don't understand is
why all of a sudden you put this
color in, but it's nowhere else.
We were just thinking, in a
three-piece collection, we
wanted one area of a pop color.
The haphazard top of the
turquoise would be so much more
hidden under that jacket, and I
think the jacket and its details
would pop more.
This leather jacket is really
sellable.
I think it's really cute.
I would have just not put this
with these shorts.

Up there, with that group,
we also had Joshua, Anya, and
Becky.
Yeah, obviously there was a
lot of friction here too, but
Josh was having none of it.
I think he's smart, you know?

For him to step up and
articulate the fact that he
chose one girl straight off of a
vibe and another girl off of
skill, that's a leader.
He picked the right team, he
directed them well.
He was involved in every
garment there.
You've got a cool pair of

I liked the tie-dyed tank.

And I think the maxi dress is

To me, this is very sellable.
