She made the jacket.
The jacket. Oh, yeah.
Richard made the shirt,
And I made the pants.
So richard, you made all
Three shirts?
I made all three shirts.
And I'm mortified at pocky's
Collar.
Did you put a collar stand
In?
No.
I never made a man's shirt
Before.
I didn't even know that it was
Supposed to have that.
I've never made men's clothing
Before.
[Velcro unfastens]
But even in a woman's shirt,
You have a--
A basic cut--the one that--
You are undoing.
Yeah, that's--that's kind of
What's happening.
[Laughs]
Nina.
[Laughs]
From our point of view, his
Pants are slowly just coming
Off.
This is so surreal.
I think the worst part for me
Is that these guys feel
Embarrassed, 'cause they were
Amazing.
Are you guys embarrassed?
Nah.
I think they just were a bit
Rushed to get all the proper
Stitching done in time and
Things like that.
Like these pants, I asked for a
Bit of stretch in the material,
Which these have.
So it's perfect for when I'm
Doing some little breakdancing
And stuff.
I mean, I think that your
Outfit looks the best out of the
Three in any case, whoever is
Responsible for this outfit.
I did the vest and the pants.
Nina, what do you think
Overall on this?
I mean, why the thought of
Making them so dressy?
We were thinking, like,
Businessman, thinker.
So you made them look like
Waiters?
Right.
I guess.
Caterers.
Caterers.
Amanda, what would you say
You were responsible in the
Garments here?
Um, I patterned the pants,
Um, so I made two of the pairs
And then gave the pattern to
Samantha, and she made the other
Pair.
Samantha, me, me.
The shirts are too long.
The collars are a problem.
This jacket looks like a ladies
Jacket.
It's just a disaster.
Not your strongest moment.
I love you guys.
I love you too.
I feel bad that they put you
Into these horrible clothes.
And one of the four of you will
Be out today.
So I ask you four, who should
That be?
Samantha?
Probably say, I'm really
Sorry, the pants was the biggest
Distraction for me.
So who are you saying?
I'm sorry, amanda.
Richard, who do you think is
The weakest link on your team?
Amanda.
Amanda, who do you think is
The weakest link?
I had a really difficult time
Working with richard.
Um, I think by the end of
The--you know, our main workday,
He hadn't finished his shirt
Yet, and it was making us all
Really, really anxious, and it
Was kind of adding to this
Frenzy.
There's kind of a disconnect,
Like he's not really listening.
Richard, you were nodding
Kind of no when amanda was
Talking, because?
'Cause it's bull[bleep].
That's why.
There was a lot of push against
Myself in this challenge with
Amanda and layana against me, I
Felt, you know, because of some
Of the things that I wanted to
Do that were more cutting edge,
But they wanted to be more
Sophisticated.
We tended to stop richard a
Little bit because his version
Of showy is really, like, over
The top.
He would put like diamonds on
The buttoned shirt and things
Like that, and when we
Consulted...
Right. Right?
To the guys, they said that
That's not what they go for.
And I just feel like if you guys
Ask me who's the weakest link,
I would say richard, because
Throughout the competition,
I feel like he's been very
Inconsistent, and he makes too
Many excuses.
Well, I disagree with that
Because the reality is, I made
My shirts myself.
I didn't have help from nobody
Else.
Well, I made my jacket myself
Too.
You didn't ask stanley to
Help you with the back of it?
Oh, of course, I asked for...
Okay. I'm just wondering.
Ideas a little bit.
I put like a seam on the center
Back, and I asked richard, is
This okay?
Because he's--okay, he doesn't
Do menswear, but he's a man.
Doesn't--don't you wear collar
Shirts and blazers?
And how many times have
I told you about the suit?
And you said, "yeah, it's
Okay," and tim is the one that
Comes and said, "layana, this
Looks like women's jacket," so I
Try, you know, to recycle
A little bit.
And I take responsibility for
It, but I feel like richard is
Just making excuses.
So it sounds like overall,
This was not the most wonderful
Experience for the four of you.
Absolutely not.
Okay, we've heard what you
Had to say.
We're gonna have a little chat,
And then I'll call you back.
Thank you very much, guys.
Thank you.
You can leave the runway.
Bye.
I have to say, normally, they
Are much better than today.
Right?
Normally, they're not that bad.
It was really like, "just rip
These horrible clothes off
Already."
Why is it so difficult
To make a shirt, for example?
It's not.
I mean, I don't know what to
Tell them.
It's just not that difficult.
The difference between a woman's
Shirt and a men's shirt is that
A woman has a bosom.
So it's actually easier then.
It's actually easier.
Now, these men have quite wild
Bodies to fit.
I think, you know, that's
Complicated.
I think performance clothing is
Not easy.
It didn't seem like any of
Them were even familiar with how
To make a tailored collared
Shirt, because when you guys
Asked them, "what about collar
Stands or--"
They all just kind of looked--
Lost.
They didn't know what to say.
So layana made the most
Ill-fitting jacket I've ever
Seen in my life.
I mean--
I think she was trying to go
For like a tuxedo shawl collar.
Right.
But it sort of ended up like
A late 17th century men's
Collar.
But then it also--like it
Pulled open like this.
Well, he had big shoulders.
But then, didn't she take any
Measurements?
She knew that these enormous
Guys with muscles are gonna have
To fit this jacket.
I mean, right?
I mean, it was bizarre.
It was very odd.
Then richard made three
Shirts.
The black one was not as bad as
The white one.
So maybe because it was black--
The collar was pretty funky.
We couldn't see.
The length of the shirts are
So weird too.
Yeah.
I mean, on the first guy with
The vest, it almost--the length
Made him look like he had a
Stomach, and he clearly didn't.
I saw it.
He was in really good shape.
Yeah.
I think we've--
[Laughs]
When he took it off.
[Laughs]
I mean, he made three shirts.
He just probably ran out of
Time and--
Right.
Poor richard.
I do have to say, I think that--
That is a lot of work.
All the women ganged up on
Him like he was supposed to be
The one man that was supposed to
Know about tailoring, and I feel
He felt--
But just because he's a man
Doesn't mean that he--
No, he said he didn't know
How to tailor, but that concerns
Me as a women's designer,
Not knowing how to tailor.
And then he brought--
Well, but it concerns me that
None of them knew how to tailor.
Forget him.
Now we have to decide on
Who's going home from this team.
Amanda made two pair of pants.
Pocky's pants.
They were too tight.
And then marty has one short and
One long leg.
I mean, what did amanda do here?
Richard made the shirt too
Long.
It was supposed to be tucked in.
He couldn't tuck it in because
The pants were too tight.
Right?
There was one pair of pants
That I thought looked the best
Out of all the pants we saw
Tonight.
Samantha's.
Yes, samantha was the one that
Made that pattern.
The one pair of pants looked
Slick and clean.
And amanda was supposed to
Follow through, but didn't.
I mean, this is a tough one,
You know, unless we do again
What we did last week.
We send both home--
Amanda and richard.
All right.
Let's move on to the team that
Wasn't quite as bad, but still
Pretty bad.
Shades of grey.
[Laughs]
What ryan is wearing, for
Example, I mean, this is just
A snooze fest of a suit.
Patricia, what she did, this
Basket thing, seriously?
It was a lot of work into
Something that didn't turn out
To be very sexy.
No.
I mean, talking about arts and
Crafts here...
We all like the look that
Michelle gave to alex.
But then again, I have to say,
That does not fit into the
Office theme here.
I think you have to give
Michelle points for doing a
Zipper and not just focusing on
Velcro.
'Cause all of the other pieces
That we saw were all velcro
Pull-aways, and this was the one
Reveal that was using a
Different mechanism.
Okay, let's talk about
Daniel.
The only thing here that I
Would wear as a garment is the
Overcoat.
And I would put a belt on it so
It didn't look like I was
Getting a color job on my hair.
To me, it looked a bit like
A flasher, to be honest.
But I sort of liked that.
Something creepy.
It worked with the context of
Them being thunder from down
Under.
It was hiding the thunder.
[Laughter]
They could have put a belt on
It.
And there's maybe so much
Thunder that he needed a really
Gigantic coat, I don't know.
[Laughter]
I mean, the question is, do we
Even have a winner for this
Week?
Designers, unfortunately,
Today, our favorite part was
When the clothes were off.
Tonight, there's no winner.
And this is a project runway
First.
Team shades of grey, you were

You're all in.

Samantha...

Good luck, good luck.
Layana...
You're in.
You can leave the runway.
Richard, amanda, one of you will
Be out.
And I'm gonna be completely
Honest.
This was a very hard decision
Today.
Both of your garments were
Poorly made, ill-fitting,
Boring, and uncreative.
Richard...
