[male narrator] Previously on "The Real World.."

- What do you do? - I race cars.

Oh, my God!

Look at this place.

- I'm Neil. - Hi, I'm Kat.

First impression, he looks mean.

And we got Mike.

- Mike, where you from? - Saint Louis, Missouri.

- Lars. Berlin, Germany. - Mike.

- Nice to meet you. - Hi, I'm Sharon.

- Jacinda. - Jacinda.

Jacinda, I like her.

I just really hope that we all become friends

and stay friends for the rest of our lives.

[Sharon] 'Oh, aye aye to that!'

[instrumental music]

[Kat] This is the true story..

[Neil] Of seven strangers..

Seven strangers..

[Jacinda] Picked to live in a house..

[Jay] And have their lives taped..

[Lars] To find out what happens..

[Mike] When people stop being polite..

[Sharon] And start getting real..

The Real World, London.

[Jacinda] 'Oh, the sun's coming in.'

[Kat] 'Sun in England, no way.'

[Kat] I'm so thrilled to be in London right now.

I never thought I'd actually be here.

[Jay] It's the first morning and I think about the nicest thing

was waking up this morning and, uh, just taking a look at

the place with the lights off.

What time is it anyway? I don't have a watch in my room.

When it's : here, it's, no, it's : in Germany

that means it's : here, correct?

[Lars] The people are a lot different from me

but still we get along really great.

Where all are you pierced?

There's one here and there's two in here.

[Sharon] We're all so different, I mean

having a racing car driver living with a fencer

living with a model, living with a DJ

living with a singer, living with a playwright.

It's just...amazing.

It really is amazing, I just think it's fantastic.

Likethatlittle bit?

Spread that little bit, out.

Oh, don't. Chew it up.

Oh, no, no!

'Let Kat try it, too.'

'Kat, do you want to taste the vegi-mite?'

[Kat] 'No thank you.'

- Oh, my God! - Isn't it great?

[instrumental music]

What part of London do we live in?

[Mike] My first full day here was

very uncomfortable for me because I like to be

in a very comfortable situation

and I really didn't like that uncomfortableness

of not knowing where I was, and not knowing

how to get anywhere.

[Mike] 'W means West.'

W-C means West Central?

- 'Yup. - What's S-E?

- South East. - 'So this is like..'

London's like, bam!

[Sharon] We're living in an area of London called

Notting Hill Gate

which is known for being being very trendy

very quite arty, very forward-thinking

there's loads of veggie restaurants and coffee shops.

It's got a Bohemian, kind of youthful

I'd say it's quite a young area of London.
