Post by bunniefuu »

Sammi sucks d*ck
for a living.

-Um, for my -- for my OC --
-d*ck, d*ck.

-d*ck, d*ck.
-For --

You just did it, four --

d*ck.

-d*ck.
-Five -- OK, six.
We're good --

Her father's having
a lot of influence

on our lives right now.

I don't think
they 100% trust us.

You don't think so?

Whether it's the venues
or what career

I want to go into.

h*, h*, h* your a*s
out the f*cking door, b*tch!

[short whimper]

I've asked Baylen to have
a conversation

with her father.

You don't want Baylen to go
communicate for you every time

there's a concern.

How do you feel about having
a conversation with Allen?

Like an engagement party?

[Baylen] So where is this party
gonna be?

[Colin] This is definitely
Allen's way of saying,

"Hey, the backyard
could definitely be

a wedding spot
for you guys.

So how was your trip
to Roanoke?

We went
and saw a wedding venue.

-Close to them?
-Yeah.

-Mm-hmm.
-OK.

Colin invited them.

[Sammi]
I wish my parents
were a little bit more involved,

because I feel like
Colin inviting his family

to the wedding venue
that they toured stripped them

of it a little bit,

of experiencing that
with their daughter.

Hi!

[presentational]
Huh?

Today's Bay and Colin's
engagement party.

-You're bald, Chuck.
-Thank you.

-Just in case you weren't
aware already.
-[Chuck] Yeah.

[Allen] And it's looking
pretty amazing.

This is so beautiful.

[Allen] And if they want to have
the wedding

in the backyard,
I would build ten times better

than this to have these guys
have an amazing day.

I mean, I could really picture
the wedding back here.

-Could you?
-Yeah.

We have to announce
our wedding venue,

and I'm second-guessing it.

Where we will be having
our wedding will be at...

Dun-dun-dun.

-All right --
-JB does crystal meth

with Joe Biden.

-OK, keep talking, I'm just...

-What mountain?
-You all will be there.

-What mountain will we be on?
-It's close to Roanoke.

-[Julie] OK.
-[Colin] Near my family.

We're happy that we found
the right one.

We have finally decided where
we're going to get married.

The seclusion.

-[Colin] Holy crap.
-[Baylen] Wow.

Oh, this is phenomenal.

This venue is a gorgeous
private wedding venue on top

of a flipping mountain.

We did consider the backyard
today as an option.

I didn't know
that it could look like that.

It transformed overnight.

But we just
couldn't deny the views.

It's so open, and I feel
really comfortable

ticcing freely there.

As excited as we are,

I'm still a little bit worried

that I might
have disappointed my dad.

Thank you guys for coming.

-Whoo!
-[cheering, clapping]

OK, thank God!

[indistinct chatter]

[Marlene]
Hey, congratulations

on finally picking one.

I think they made
a perfect choice for this venue

because they picked one

closer to Colin's family,

Congratulations, dear.

[Baylen]
Thank you.

I'm not losing a son,
I'm gaining a daughter.

And so...

I'm just so, so blessed to have
both of them in my life.

I do think Al must I must be
a little bit disappointed

that they didn't choose us
as their venue.

And ironically,
I was kind of coming around

a little bit myself,

especially
after seeing his idea

of the engagement party
come to fruition.

I need to know more,

of the venue announcement.

I think yesterday's party was
a major success.

When I went to bed, there were
still things going on,

like the bonfire
still smoldering outside.

And since the party
went so late,

we didn't get a chance
to discuss the wedding venue

with Bay and Colin.

But we're hoping that we get
more information soon.

Dad, how do you feel
about the wedding

not being in the backyard?

I feel a little bit of relief
that I don't have six months'

worth of projects to work on.

Like, just to do this
was a lot of work.

[Julie] It's a big commitment,
and that doesn't mean

that you didn't want to do it,
but now you can be like,

"OK, they found something
that's better."

I mean, we still need to, like,

look more into it
or whatever, but...

She sent me the link

I was waiting for the text.

-Mountain Top venues.
-I'm just scared it --

OK.

To me, timeframe,
that would give me an idea,

like what month,
or if you pick the day.

Let's kind of start at that.

We know nothing about budget.

We know nothing if this is
a five-course meal

or if this is a buffet.

We don't know if we're inviting
the great-aunts

or if we're cutting the line
at brothers and sisters.

We really know nothing.

-[Julie] My God.
-Mm-hmm.

[Sammi] This is
where she'd like, get ready

and hang out afterwards.
-OK.

[Julie] Is this
where the ceremony happens?

-[Allen] It has to be.
-[Julie] Is this the ceremony?

Is there --

would ride in on the stallion?

[Sammi]
It's happening.

I'm gonna bet you
that price tag

right there is gigantic.

I'm kind of taken back,
like, wow.

Oh, my gosh, that's nice.

It's pivotal in their pending
marriage that they learn

how to budget
and save money now.

The venue is stunning,
but I'm thinking cha-ching.

Yeah.

So now that the venue's finally
been revealed,

and obviously you and Baylen

have already talked about,
like, you being made of honor

and whatever --
how much do you feel like

you can do being there?

I can't just drive down
the road and see you, you know?

So it's kind of like I feel bad
that I can't be here sometimes.

I don't want to miss dress
shopping with Bay,

and I don't want to miss picking
her veil out and a pair of
shoes,

and I don't want to miss that.

So it's like...

I would never want
to miss Baylen's...

pivotal moments
in her life, never.

But, with my schedule
and anxiety and OCD

and traveling
and coming back here

and unpacking and doing
all the things,

and then going
back and getting back

into my real life.
I don't know, it's 500 things.

Like, I just can't shut
my mind off.

-You shouldn't have to miss it.
-Yeah, I wouldn't --

I would never want to miss that.
-As far as I'm concerned,

that's not an option --
you missing it is
not an option.

But the reality is that this
is really difficult for you.

I'm super thankful that Sammi
was able to make it here for

the engagement party,
although I feel

like it's gonna be a minute
before we see her again.

Even though
she wants to be here,

she's a little bit into,
kind of, like, a dark place

with some of her anxious
thoughts and OCD,

and I think
that she really needs to work

on herself right now.

Maybe for a little while,

the end won't
justify the means.

...because I at least have
a blueprint for f*ck' sakes.

[Julie]
Oh, my gosh, I know.

We're all just grateful
to hear a location and a place.

I don't want
to overwhelm Baylen.

I do know how quickly Baylen can
get overstressed

and overwhelmed and all
the overs,

and that can lead down
a slippery slope of not good.

But the clock is ticking.

It's really time that we start

we're gonna go from a canter

to a flying change.
Similar to a skip.

-Got it!
-[Baylen] Yeah.

Ride the horse.

[Baylen and Colin laugh]

I was taking it serious.
It's called a workout class.

It's called you work out
in the workout class.

I was worked out.

[Colin]
I'm having flashbacks.

[Baylen cackles]

We're gonna gallop,
jump, jump, jump.

[Greg] Ooh.

Great!
Look at that.

[laughing]

-[Colin] Oh, I don't know.
-[Baylen] Sweet.

[Greg] All right, everyone,
that is class.

Let me collect the horses.

Come on, come on,
back in the stalls.

They got to be boarded.

I don't think that going
to hobby horse classes

on a consistent basis is going
to help you lose weight.

I guarantee I probably burned
less than 100 calories

in that class.
-[Greg] Did everyone have fun?

-[all] Yeah.
-Whoo!

[Baylen speaking]

[Colin grunts]

So what'd you think?

-Ride the horse.
-Yeah, I mean...

It was something
that I'll never forget,

I can tell you that.
-Uh-huh.

I would probably not take
this class again.

Just because...

But it's fine -- I'll think
long and hard next time

before we pick another sport.

Karate m*therf*cker.

[Colin]
So, speaking of things
that we don't want to do,

we still need to have
that conversation

with your father.

So are we still gonna have
that conversation or no?

I don't know.

I have a feeling
it's not gonna end well.

But my mom has asked me
how couples therapy is going,

and...I told her
that dad has come up.

How did that conversation go?

Just about as well
as I thought it would be.

[laughing]

I think it's OK to discuss
some things about what happens

in couples counseling,
but when it's something

like this that we've kind
of went back and forth on

and it's kind of a big deal

and it involves her parents,

I just wish
she would have, like,

brought it up to me first
or something.

I know they have
the best intentions for us.

However...

You just don't want to hear,
"You should do this job."

I'm just saying it's hard
to hear from somebody.

That you should do the same
thing over and over again.

No, that I -- like,
if I get a job offer

that doesn't have health care,
don't take it,

even if that's something
that I want to do.

So that's hard to hear
as the person that is now trying

to take over the reins
from him,

and I don't care
who it upsets.

I'm gonna do
what's best for me

and what I think is best
for the both of us.

That's it.

I'm headed into a completely
different career path for me

outside of the military.

And I wish I had, like,

their trust more

and to be able to make
these types of decisions.

So I think that it's important
that we all sit down

and have a conversation together
just so we can talk through this

at their house.

OK.

I mean, I'm fine with...

having a low-key conversation,
all right?

But I'm gonna make whatever
decision I'm gonna make,

and I don't care what anybody
else has to say.

[Julie]
They've got to figure out
finance, budget, and I think

that we need to, like,
confront that head-on.

And I know that he still
has some feelings about yours

and his relationship.

I'm not surprised
that I've come up

in their therapy sessions,

but I am curious
to know why.

[Julie] You almost done?
Oh, you are done.

-Yeah, it looks good.
-Oh, good stuff.

They should be here
any moment, I think.

[Allen]
Did you just talk to her?
Did you get a text?

Yeah, they're on their way.
Yeah.

She was like,
"Who's all going to be there?"

And I was like,
"Uh, just your dad and I,

"'cause the boys are golfing,
and Bech's at a sleepover."

Hollah.

Baylen and Colin
are coming over tonight

to talk
about the wedding planning

and also some things that have
come up in therapy.

It's kind of actually nice
that the boys aren't here,

'cause, like, you can talk --
we can talk.

I mean,
I know we're -- obviously,

the intention is to talk

about wedding stuff a lot,
because we've got

to start this.
I mean, this is pathetic.

-Pshew.
-They've got to figure out
finance, budget,

like, I don't even know.

There's just a lot,
so I'm excited.

You really think
there's a budget?

[Julie] Well, I think
that's the point, to ask

some questions and find out.

You've already said words
that probably,

they've never heard before.
Plan? Budget?

Talking with Baylen
at the pet shop...

made me realize...

that she definitely is
in a little bit over her head

with this wedding planning.

We know that they decided
on a venue,

and therefore
they picked a date,

which is next year,

and that is
only 11 months away.

That's not a lot of time.

They are gonna need
a little more help

planning this event.

-Something like maybe myself --
-But help costs money, too.

-Yeah, that's true.
-So there...

add that to the list.
-Mm-hmm.

-I'm excited.
-Yeah, me too.

I'm nervous, too,
'cause it's like,

let's not be unrealistic.

Like, let's really, like,
buckle down

with all this
and make sure

that you're in the right realm
with everything.

You know, and be like,
"OK, well, maybe

that won't work,
thank you for bringing that up"

kind of a thing.
-Yeah.

[Julie]
And I know that they've even
had some things brought...

up, you know,
since they started

the premarital counseling.

-So I --
-What have they had brought up?

I know they even have
some stuff like,

if we even make it
to that topic.

I know that he still has...

some feelings
about yours and his relationship

and whatever, and I think
that we need to, like,

confront that head-on.

I hadn't told Allen until now
that he had came up

in their therapy session

because I don't want
his feelings

to be prematurely hurt

when maybe
it's not as big of a deal

as it would come across
as being.

It's kind of unsettling,
but I'm not surprised

that I've come up
in their therapy sessions,

but I am curious
to know why.

Nobody's here.

We can have
a private conversation

because the kids are not around.
Whatever they want

to talk about,
I'm willing to talk about it.

OK.

[Baylen]
Are you nervous at all to go
speak to my parents?

This is a conversation
that's needed to...

been had for a long time.

We've needed to have
this conversation.

I think
it's really important for...

there to be boundaries.

We're about to get married,

and you don't want to wait
and put it off,

and the next thing you know,
we have kids,

and it gets to a point
where it's too late

to be able
to set those boundaries.

I'm gonna just say
that there's been a decision

that's been made regarding
my career choice...
-Mm-hmm.

...and that I want to go
into real estate, so...

-Let's be honest here.
-Let's be honest, b*tch.

I'm choosing a career field
that your dad

told me not to choose.

When we take that chance,
we just want you guys to...

just be with us.

I wouldn't even call
it a chance.

What would you call it?

I would just call it a career,
a decision.

It's not a chance.

When you go into something
with that kind of a mindset,

you're going to fail
every single time.

So how do you go into it?

Saying that you're not going
to fail.

[blows raspberry]

So what happens if you fail?

-It's not a chance.
-[Baylen] I don't know.

We're taking a chance.

-Exactly.
-We can fail...

at this conversation.
-I know we can.

It's really important to me
that Colin feels heard

and seen and understood.

It just feels like
an impossible balance to deal

with right now, though,
between him and my parents.

It feels very overwhelming
to always be in the middle.

[Colin] You got what
you're gonna say figured out?

-[Baylen] Sure.
-[Colin] All right.

[Baylen] Here we go.
We're finally here.

My God...

-[Allen] Are they bringing
their dogs?
-I have no idea.

-Hi.
-[Julie] Hi, guys.

Hi.

-[Julie] It is quiet here.
-Bald b*tch.

[Baylen speaking]

-No, doggies?
-[Allen] What -- where...?

I'm not trying to say your dad
loves Toot

more than he loves you,
but your dad loves Toot.

-Hi, Colin.
-[Allen] No, I was just
wondering

if he could come around --

[Colin] Allen and I don't always
see eye-to-eye.

We have different approaches,
different opinions on things.

Every decision that I make,

it's, "Hey, you shouldn't
do that."

Or, "Hey, that's risky."
Or, "Hey, like this."

Ultimately, at the end
of the day, like,

I'm gonna make whatever decision
that I think is best

for my life,
regardless of what anybody else

has to say about it.

So I'm glad you came
because we, all four of us,

haven't had the opportunity
to talk more

about the wedding-ish plans.

Mm!
This is so good.

What are some of the things
that you guys have discussed?

Or do you like, I mean,
do you have like notepads?

-Discussed for what?
-For the wedding.

-Yeah.
-You're bald.

The only thing that we have,
we need to like 100% finish

before the save-the-dates,
which would be like,

our next steps,
is the guest list.

Because we've nailed in
the coffin at least 120 people.

-120 people.
-That's a bad term to use.

We nailed it
in the coffin, yeah?

Nailed 120 people in a coffin.

-Yeah.
-d*ck.

[Julie]
Do you have a budget?

-Have you looked
at each other and said...
-Yeah, we have.

"Hey, this is
the amount of money

that we want to spend
and how can we find a way

to stay within that budget?"

Whatever it is,
double it and then double that.

That's probably what it'll be.

[Baylen]
I'm not surprised at all
that my parents are hitting us

with a bunch
of wedding questions.

We're still in the dark
about a lot of this,

so they're great questions,

but we have no idea how
to answer them.

We have sat down
and talked

about how much
we want to put in.

-[Julie] OK.
-We haven't sat down

and thought about how much
we want to individually
spend on, like,

florists and makeup and hair.

Because I've thought
about getting one of my friends

to do my makeup.

-Like, if it comes down
to getting my makeup done...
-Yeah.

...and getting
all my bridesmaids done

is $15,000,
I'm not gonna pay for that

when all of us can work --
by all means,

we'll get their brides --
-[Allen] $15,000?

-What is this f*cking
reconstructive surgery?
-Your dad almost

lost a leg there.

Well, that would be your part
that you would pay.

God didn't get it right --
how the f*ck is somebody

gonna get makeup and fix it?
-That would be the part

you guys pay.
-[Julie] Aahhh.

-And then the horse for Colin
would come out of your loan.
-sh*t.

[laughing]

I feel like we're kind of like,
working like, backwards.

Like we're figuring out all,
like, the small stuff.

-[Julie] OK.
-And we don't have any of like,
the major stuff.

-You need a wedding planner.
-[Colin] Like the guest list
or --

[Baylen]
We probably do.

We've been discussing
on whether we should get

a wedding planner or not.
-[Julie] Oh.

And we were kind
of waiting on that.

I think after tonight,
you probably should be

on a "yes" check box.
-I mean, I'm even clueless.

OK.

'Cause I'm feeling the stress
for you guys.

Nah, I'm not feeling
no stress yet.

If you just don't think
about it --

if you just don't think
about it.

I love that technique.

Yeah, I'm learning it
in therapy, it's called...

-It's called procrastinating.
-...avoiding!

No, no, no.
It's not procrastinating.

-It doesn't go away,
it just gets bigger.
-It's called avoidance.

It's something
I'm very f*cking good at.

-You are.
-Yep.

-Yeah.
-[Baylen] Yep.

[Julie]
Oh, my gosh.

-Speaking of therapy.
-speaking of therapy.

I told your dad...
a little bit

of what you said to me.

Yeah, where am I
at in therapy?

I don't want to tell my dad

that my dad's been brought up
in therapy.

I'm honestly freaking out
because I have no idea

what my parents are gonna
think when we finally

put our feet down
about boundaries,

especially with Colin's career.

I'm worried that this might go
really, really bad.

What's the deal?
What am I doing?

Uh, so...

[Colin]
In therapy, we were talking
about stressors and knowing

that, like, whatever decision
that I make is not only

affecting me but her.

It's a long road
to that dead end.

This is why I hate
confrontation,

because it feels
like there's so much --

[short whimper] -- to lose.

If this doesn't work out,
what are you gonna do?

-Hello.
-Hi.

How are you?

We're really hoping that
the wedding planner can help us

with, one, everything.

I want alpacas.

-Alpacas.
-A horse.

Have you guys ever done
a queso fountain?

A queso fountain.

[planner]
Part of our job
is educating them

so that we can be like,
"OK, this is what reality is."

In thinking about your budget,

you're not gonna love
what I have to tell you.

[Baylen]
He knows how to swim!

If I'm going to want a horse
in our wedding,

do you want to work
on your fear of horses?

Ugh.

Were gonna the exposure therapy
today with the horses.

-[neighing] -- I want to cry.
-It's OK.

They can throw you off.
They can kick you.

Just everything about them
is scary to me.
