the stiffer pieces with things

that pink look and the teal,

So i’m hoping when he sees it
that he thinks

That I made the right decision.

They were very gutsy.

on making a collection

For new york fashion week.
And our designers

Only had four weeks and $9,000,

Which probably seems impossible

To do. But I don’t know
how they make it happen.

They make it happen.

And that’s what we’re about
to see.

In this moment, I would like
to introduce our judges.

It is unbelievable.

I think this is probably one of

The best fashion shows
we’ve ever had.

Even if we would’ve not seen
your little faces

Poking out in the front,
I could tell who did what.

It had your signature.
It was perfect.

- All right,
let’s bring out your models.

Okay, charketa,
tell us about your inspiration.

And what changes did you make?

- My collection, I think was
inspired just by lifting limits.

I just wanted to kind of be free
and just a new,

Fresh take on designing.

- You showed some really
beautifully cut clothing.

And I do think there is
a customer out there for this.

- I’m happy that you’re showing
this look here, ’cause that was

One of my favorites.
- Thank you.

- You know, the look
with the white skirt

And that flow-y top just was
a little simple for me.

You know, there’s no hem.

It just kind of rolled up
a little bit.

Definitely saw your vibe
in the show.

I can see a lot of girls
wanting to wear your clothes.

Amanda.
- I really wanted

To watch
the hippie-dippyness of it.

So that long knit dress,
chopped it off,

Put it with leather pants.
- We saw that.

- Just little tweaks to try
and keep pushing it up, up, up.

- Effortless--
that’s what I think

When I look at your collection.

I love your combinations
of color.

- Your jewelry is ready to go.
I want to see that

In all the shops in l.a.

I want to see them
at opening ceremony.

This was the most original
collection on the runway today.

- My favorite was the brown
and the black with the little

Slit here down the front.

Then you had a few in there
that I wasn’t so sure about.

There was one strapless dress.

And then there was another piece
over it. You know,

It had a lot of cutouts.

And you saw her body
through there somehow.

- But I like that she
used the suede.

- Thank you.

- Sean.

- My collection was inspired
by the story

Of the betrayal of caesar.

It kind of starts
off as more of this dictator

And this clean
and this almighty and powerful.

And then comes the bleeding
and the end of caesar.

I removed a look and put
in the orange silk dress.

- What I loved
is how the colors changed too.

I thought that was
very clever of you.

But there were a few pieces
here and there

That I could’ve done without.

The second look, I don’t like at
all--the dress over the pants.

You could see the pants
through the shirt.

That was a bit messy to me.

But overall,
I thought it was a great job.

- I think you
are the full package.

- Thank you.

- Kini, how are
your fingertips?

- Boy.

- Have you been sewing a lot?

- What you guys saw today
was done basically in two days.

- You’re clearly gifted.
I love the pleated denim dress.

I also love the coffee filter
top with the bottom.

I loved how you could see the
light gray inside her pocket.

It was a really nice detail.

- See, there is a lot
of pieces that I love.

And then there are some
that i’m like, "whoa.

I’m overwhelmed."

- There is something
that I like about the fact

That you use denim in such
a sophisticated way, really.

I mean, that pleated
little dress is extraordinary.

- It was chic.

- I’m glad you kept it in.

- And the little one
with the horse hair.

Again, it’s denim, guys.

Technically, you are so good.

- No, there were a lot
of great pieces.

And it’s amazing

there isn’t one designer

Where I feel like the entire
show from beginning to end

Was perfect.

But at the same time,
I also loved everyone’s.

- I feel like this season
we got so attached to them,

’Cause you could feel
their intensity and their drive.

I think there are
some decisions we can make.

To me, charketa’s work
is great for reality.

But I don’t think
it was the strongest work

We saw here today.

- Her pieces
are not as complicated.

- It’s a very
commercial collection

That you could find right now...

- In a lot of different stores.
- Let’s talk about amanda.

- The collection she presented
was a tight collection.

It was focused.

Yes, there were
some weird proportions.

I don’t think every woman’s
gonna look at that clothing

And say it’s flattering
or easy feeling.

But I think the attitude was.

- And there was a lot
of newness.

I like her jewelry,
and I love those long gowns.

I love the brown
and the black dress.

To me, it is just perfect.

I was very impressed
with her today.

- I know that if she wins this,
she’s gonna take it far.

- Well, for me,
this show is about discovering

The next voice.

And of all the people,
I think sean has maybe

The freshest perspective for me.

- What I loved about sean’s
collection was that he had a lot

Of wow moments, where the model
turned the corner,

And it was like, "wow."

- He also has the ability
to take risks.

His clothes have
a very editorial stamp to them.

And he’s got very good taste.

- And to have taste
and to surprise us with risk

And wow moments
is really refreshing.

- I mean, kini
has made some amazing looks.

- Kini was, you know--
he turned the corner

With this in two days.

I didn’t know if he really
could make his clothes

Look younger, cooler, sexier.
But he did.

- The girls
all looked very sexy.

- I just love that pleated
denim dress he made.

Flirty, chic, I can see it at,

Like, a barneys tomorrow.

- This second top...
- Great.

- I love it, with those little
leather shorts.

I thought that was
the best look.

She looks like a really
interesting, super-fashion girl.

- That’s what’s on the runways
this new york fashion week.

- And part of this show
is learning from you guys.

And if he can actually
take your comments

And implement them,
then winning this show

Could actually give him
the voice to put

All those magician techniques
that he has to create

A collection that is everything
you would’ve liked to see.

more time to find his editing.
