when I have all my girls

the party girl, like, '70s--

I'm looking at my collection
walking down the runway

and there's not one tiny little
thing I would change. Nothing.

I feel like I put so much
thought and so much of myself

into this collection.

I feel like it
definitely shows,

and I honestly couldn't be any
prouder ever about anything.

- The red leather gown
is my favorite.

She just looks really strong
and fierce but still elegant.

I just wish my grandmother

Losing my grandmother was
one of the toughest things.

She was the person
who taught me how to sew.

She was the person who pushed
me to continue doing designing

and when I think of
how proud I am of myself,

I think of my grandma
and how proud she is of me.

If it wasn't for her,
I wouldn't be here right now.

for giving me this opportunity

to create a plus-size collection
for them,

and my inspiration is
from Mexico City in the 1950s,

and I hope you enjoy
this vibrant collection.

This has been a dream of mine
since I was in high school.

I said I wanted to be America's

gives you the fantasy of fashion

is one of the most

- To me, there was
a clear winner today.

Edmond's collection.

It was just so well done,
there's not even a question.

I don't even know why
they're deliberating.

this season.

I really loved what she did
with just the black and reds

and my eye just went
to those clothes

more than any other ones.

- I think Candice did a great
job with the rock and roll vibe,

which I love.

a really great choice.

It was not boring.

It was super, super exciting.

What a great accomplishment

Okay, before we decide the

season 14,

we have some questions for you,

your muse models.

Kelly, tell us about your
inspiration and your collection.

- My inspiration was Studio 54
meets New Wave street wear.

I wanted to add a lot of fabrics

that look like
different textures

like the wood and the metal.

- What do you think, Zac?

- I think Kelly really
went for it today.

I really appreciate

and it really sparkled
and shined on the runway

that you glittered the shoes.

It just worked.

- Thank you, Zac.

- I was very impressed,
and I was very surprised.

What I really liked
about your collection

is that it was your voice,
and it was successful.

I liked your first outfit.

Yes, I could see your reference
of Studio 54,

but they were not so literal,
and I love that.

I even liked your jumpsuit
with the cutouts.

- Mm-hmm.

- There were some outfits
that I did not like,

such as this one that looked
like it's a Cirque du Soleil

or a skating outfit.

I did have a few
favorite pieces.

Mine was actually the long dress
in the wood fabric.

To me, that looked
very sophisticated

but fun at the same time,

and then it had the matching
fanny pack on there

that looked really chic.

- One thing I wrote down about
you is you are not afraid.

Just fun, funky, I loved
the textures, I loved it.

- Thank you. That means a lot.

- Ashley, tell us about your
inspiration and your collection.

- So, I wanted to create
a collection that is inspired

from Mexico City in the 1950s,

and just make clothing
that's not out there

for the plus-size woman.

- You did something that
was not expected.

And fashion is all about
the element of surprise,

and this was a courageous
and brave move.

There were looks that I liked
more than others.

The pink opening look was
one of my favorites.

You were playing with forms
that are considered taboo

for full-figured women.

But you did them splendidly.
I celebrate your conviction.

That takes guts as a designer.

- Thank you.

- I loved the colors,
the femininity.

My favorite was the plum
with the lace overlay.

I would wear that right now.

I loved your models, the hair,
the makeup. I really enjoyed it.

- Thank you.

- Ashley, I really enjoyed
your collection.

The sea foam tunic dress.

Simple, but then you used
beautiful lace.

The look that you brought
today, I do love.

I wasn't a fan of the romper.

This crotch was
just forever long.

I didn't like that very much.

But I loved the fabrics.

They looked really expensive.
Very well-done.

- Thank you.

- You did something
outstanding today.

The teal. Spectacular.

Any woman that has a little
fun and zest in their lives

is going to love this dress.

- Me.

- You fixed the bust
on the two piece.

Zipper was a little bit wonky.

I loved the play with
the maroon and the pink.

This was a great example
of your color play,

and then I like that you
dressed it up with the hat.

I think you did it just right.

- My inspiration
was Asian-infused.

I definitely wanted
to show a piece of me,

but in taking
your guys's advice,

in pulling back, I feel like
I found myself even more.

- It's a little hard
for me to get behind

a lot of leather like that,

but I love the silhouettes.

My favorite was the coat
and the cigarette pant.

I thought it was very sexy.

- Thank you.

- I was very surprised
in a good way.

I found out that you can
drape a really sick dress.

That first look was
absolutely beautiful,

and mind you, that was
a still very edgy dress.

It was just edgy and feminine.

You have the best
of both worlds.

It's just learning how
to put more of them together.

- For me, it's very clear that
you have an architectural sense.

It's a little witchy.

A little urban,

but I want you to find even more
original form and voice.

- I think that you are
a great designer.

Was this a cohesive collection?
No.

Just because it's red and black,
that doesn't tie it in.

Like, for me this is
the perfect example.

I see Halloween like
there's no tomorrow.

You have to be very careful with
leather that you don't overdo it

and then becomes
to Frederick's of Hollywood-y.

- Thank you guys.

- My mom owned a salon,
so each day

I'm around "Vogue" magazine,
hair magazines.

My inspiration was really
beautiful, sexy, glamorous icons

that I've seen.

- When the music started

and your first model
walked around the corner,

she looked so sophisticated.

It was really like, pow,

and the third look...
[gasps] to die for.

That gown is one of the
most beautiful dresses

that I have seen.

- Wow, thank you.

- Gorgeous.

- It is clear to me that you
have respect for women.

You have a way of making
clothes that look very sexy

in a very refined way.

That one shoulder,
the cut is perfect.

The proportion is right.
It's beautiful.

Now, when you get carried away

and you want to
do the showstopper,

that's when it gets crazy.

That's not your essence, so
I wish you'd just keep that.

Your girls always look sexy.

- I really appreciate that.

- I agree with Nina.

When it's pared down and clean,
it's stronger.

- I think you do classic

sexy glamour really well.

The designers that did well
were very true to their voice,

tried to be something
that they were not.

- I do have to say, Edmond did
a lot of beautiful dresses

that I would actually wear.

- Yeah. He gets a woman's body.

- And he listened.

He really tried to
please us to try to fix it.

- He worked hard, in
the last two days especially.

- I agree.

But listen, Edmond has
a lot more to grow.

- I was least impressed with
Candice, to be honest with you.

- I thought Candice was
going to surprise us

and show us very polished, edgy,
like a professional collection.

I really did.

It's again, the question,
who is Candice?

What kind of designer is she?

What is her real aesthetic?

- Let's talk about Kelly.

I mean, she got better
and better and better.

She actually won more challenges

than anybody else.

She won four challenges.
- Really?

- And she's had
a really good attitude.

- She's always like,
"Thank you so much.

I'm going to work harder
next time."

- I like that she put glitter
on the headphones,

and then she did the shoes.

- Even on the lips.

- It's authentic and
it's her and it's free.

- Let's talk about Ashley.
- I love Ashley.

I think she's really talented
and she's gutsy.

- You don't have to be
plus-size.

We could all wear it too.

- I think her designs
are really good.

I think there's a huge potential
in the market out there.

Her color sense was
the most sophisticated.

- And unusual.
Not safe.

- No, those pastels
could have looked real scary.

- But also, it was not safe for
her to do all these crop tops.

- She was courageous
to stand her ground and say,

"You know what?
This finale,

I want to design
for a plus-size model."

It's a whole new world.
It's more inclusive.

And I'm glad there is
an Ashley to represent that.

To me, it was the most cohesive
