03x24 - Criminal Behavior

Post by bunniefuu »

Were you guys
getting married before?

There's been two times
that he hasn't shown up.

I've waited 11 years
to marry Jeff.

Aw.

He may have an 18-year-old kid.

JEFF:
Kyle has no business whatsoever

about anything to do
with my woman.

And I'm gonna put a stop to it.

RACHEL: Even though Doug and I
have been married for months,

we have never been together
in the outside world.

I know about those girls
you be talking to on TikTok.

I'm not like you.
Only have one girlfriend.

Doug told me that he
was dating women

previously to me for money.

You filthy womaniser.

He's a dog. Junior's a dog.

I went and got you something.

I've never much seen Junior
just stick with one girl.

Absolutely.

Where is he gonna live?
His dad's house.

BRITNEY:
Ray is paroling to my house.

I've just lied to my family
again.

Hey!
- Is your family coming today?

They're actually not gonna come.

Oh.
- You're not hiding me.

I'm not hiding you.

I showed you that I'm serious.

I think I deserve
the same thing.

Hey, Daddy. I think you
should come over tomorrow.

Come on.

One of the first rules

for working in a prison
is don't date an inmate.

I was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

Come here. - I'm currently serving
two years probation.

Have you guys even had sex yet?

Couple times. He's too tired.

Living with my wife, it...
It's a hard adjustment.

I gave up BLEEP everything for you.

Good job, babe.

I immediately have to get a car.

She makes nothing but demands.

Go! What do I ask from her? Nothing.

Here's her BLEEP.

I miss you.

I'll move past it and give him
another chance, but on my terms.

I put this payment down.

Does that mean
next step is marriage?

I might not have been
genuinely honest with Stan.

NICOLLE: In prison,
I started dating this girl, Tia.

How about Daonte?

I just can't help
but think about other people,

like my exes.

I'm hoping this ain't
what I think it is.

So that's why you won't give me
no BLEEP right?

cos you're with this mother BLEEP?

NICOLLE: I feel bad about
my actions, I do.

I love him,
and I hurt his feelings.

Can we talk soon?
I mean, can we see each other?

Can we meet up tonight?
Let's meet tomorrow.

Kissing Tia feels kind of like

we're picking up
where we left off.

I don't know what I'll do.

Bye!

CELL DOORS CLANG

I'm glad I stayed over here.

I was actually thinking about
staying tonight again.

OK, well, can you drive me?

Yeah, I'll drive you there.

NICOLLE: I'm about
to meet up with Daonte,

and I haven't told him that
Tia's in town right now.

I'm not telling him that
we stayed the night together

because I don't feel like
he can handle.

He's already BLEEP pissed
about Zakk.

Right. Well, that's cool. I mean...
Get up and get ready. I'll take you.

INHALES

Me and Tia did not have sex,

but we did fool around
a little bit.

I'm so embarrassed!
I drank too much.

I'm such a lightweight.

We were, like, making out

and grinding on each other
and stuff,

and I started feeling so sick

that I thought
if we started having sex,

I was gonna throw up on her.

I just know you don't feel good.

I know you're not
ready to have this conversation,

but maybe it's what you need to do.

Yeah, um, are you gonna...?
- I'll wait for you.

Gonna wait for me?
- Yeah, I'll wait for you.

Daonte's probably watching.

He don't know what
I look like or what I drive,

so just keep it short
cos you don't feel good.

Apologise and then just keep...
Just keep moving.

BLEEP.

I'll be back in a minute.

OK. Hope you feel better.

DOOR SLAMS

Ugh.

I'm a little nervous
to talk with Daonte.

I don't know what I'm gonna
tell him about Zakk, honestly.

I'm gonna tell him
that we hung out.

Hearing that we had sex
would hurt his feelings,

and I just don't think
he's ready for that right now.

Daonte is taking forever
to get here.

SHE GROANS

I think he's making me wait
on purpose.

Hey.

'Sup?

It's a little cold.

That's why I sat by the fireplace.

Before you say anything,

I'm gonna say what I got to say.

You betrayed me, Nicolle.

You lied straight to my face,
and you lied to my mom.

So one night I catch you
with your one ex,

then last night...

you all on social media
with your other ex.

She plastered all over
social media with some girl.

They all laid up
in the bed together,

got the heart right there.

Their little caption say,
"A past love not finished."

I see that her name is Tia.

I remember that's the name
of the girl

that Nicolle was messing
around with in prison.

We are on each other's
social media.

Does Nicolle not
know that I can see this BLEEP?

Like, that's what
I'm thinking about.

Or is she just like, "BLEEP it,
I don't care if he sees"?

You had to have known
I was gonna see that, right?

Who does that in a relationship?

First off,
I haven't even seen Zakk any more.

Second off, me and Tia...
We're friends.

Let me... - If I was hiding
something just now,

it would not be on social media.

Two nights with two different exes.

Did you have sex
with either one of them two

since you've been out?

I needed clarity in myself
and my situation

to be able
to move forward with you.

I still have feelings for Daonte,

but I just feel like it's coming...

It's not coming out right,
cos I don't feel good,

so I can't even think right
and now I'm irritated.

You love me like you say you do,

prove it, cos...

Get the BLEEP out of my face.
- It's gonna be me or them.

Get the BLEEP out of my face.

Gonna be me or them, period.

If you love me,
the least you can do for me

is delete this mother BLEEP
off your social media,

both of them. All my BLEEP gone.

You are on my social media.
That's it, cos...

Did I tell you to delete
that BLEEP. No!

Yes, you did.
No, the BLEEP I didn't.

"An ex is an ex."
That's what you say, right?

"An ex is an ex for a reason."
- I never told you...

You don't remember
what you talk about, but I do.

I'm stupid.
That's what you're telling me.

I'm not saying you're stupid.

But you forget stuff.
- I know what the BLEEP I say.

You be saying BLEEP like
I said it when I don't..

You be BLEEP saying,
"Well, you told me this
and you said..."

- Hey.
- No, the BLEEP I didn't.

I'm Tia.

Good morning.
What are you doing?

Well, I'm gonna have to

show my sources of income
for your car and...

What is that? From all your stocks?

Yeah.
CAT MEOWS

Samuel!
BOTH CHUCKLE

He's a monster.

This is just, what?
Interest that you live off of?

Well, yeah, this is...
This is dividends.

Commerce is...
Is $100,000 in bonds.

That's a big one.
Yeah.

And then my pension.
- What does that add up to?

$130,000. And...

So you get that a month or year?

That's a year.
Mm.

Or more.

LISA: Stan comes from
a life of, uh, privilege.

He's made a lot of money,

and I come from a whole...
Whole 'nother world.

PHONE CHIMES
Dash will be meeting me here

to go with me to, uh, get your car.

Yeah.
- Excited?

Well, yeah, it'd be even nicer
if I could drive my own car home.

Take this in case there's
another fee of some kind.

I... I gotta get some cheques.

That's all the cheques you have?
- No, I got more upstairs.

STAN: I want to offer Lisa
the lifestyle

that's exactly like mine.

I want her to be with me,
and I would share it.

All right, babe,
I'll be back in about an hour.

- Yeah.
- All right.

I'm gonna hit the shower.
- All right, babe.

I think she's just been
trying to get through life.

And, um, when things
would get tough before,

she went to the drugs,

and, uh, I've taken her out of
that drug-filled environment

and put her in here,
where about the strongest thing

that's... that's taken is wine,
you know?

Are you trading one of these in?

No, no. I got a car for,
uh, for Lisa.

A car for Lisa?
- Yeah.

Whose name's it gonna be in?
- Both of us.

How much are you spending?

Oh, it's only like $13,000.

ONLY $13,000? Phew!

DASH: What the hell is he doing?

You know, she gets out of prison,

not the first time,
married to two other people.

He's not naive,
but he sure is acting it.

Are you guys getting along?

Yeah! Last few days
have been really good.

She's very, um, very happy.

I have never seen her this happy.

I've done a lot for her.

She had $3,200 in speeding tickets.
Wow.

And I sent $3,200

to the Secretary of State
of Illinois,

and she's clear.

This blows me away, brother.

In your heart of hearts,

you think that she has
affection for you,

not just what you can do for her?

Yeah. I think it is growing.
I don't know how to explain it.

It's magnetic.

STAN: I don't think Lisa's
using me for my money.

I mean, she's just not that type.

I've spent some money,
no question about it,

but it's to facilitate her
out of this hole.

He's got a nice little collection.

I have no idea
what this stuff costs.

This stuff has got to cost
some money, though.

Well, that's 22-carat gold.

Oh, that's Babe Ruth.
And it's signed.

This can't be right.

$74,000.

$129,000.

I do know how much money Stan has.

He's told me many times.
He's proud of it.

So it would be $2,197,000.

To me, the amount of money
I'm spending is nothing.

It's the best way in the world

to make sure that we're...

We're together.
I mean, I have nothing to lose.

Wow.

I can afford to...
To take a chance.

I don't know if that's signed.

Oh, that will be worth some money.

There is no photo.

I am just so tired of being alone
that I could throw up. Ugh.

I'd like to meet her, you know?

Well, you will. You will.

My gut is pretty good
at judging people.

Is he being taken advantage of?

I don't know. Time will tell.

And I don't think it's gonna
take a lot of time for it to tell.

Walking out of prison
is freedom,

but the real freedom
is when you have a car.

It's a double-edged sword,
you know?

That gives her freedom
to get mixed up with the people

that she had been mixed up with
in the past.

CELLPHONE RINGS

Hello.

Uh, I'm trying to figure it
all out, you know?

Yeah.

Stan doesn't know everything
about my past, honestly,

because I don't speak
a lot about it.

So I've just told him that I've
made mistakes in life and...

And that's all he really knows.

I know.

I love you, too.

CELL DOORS CLANG

My dad does not play
about me at all.

Feel like I'm finna go
in front of the judge again.

Ugh!

BRITNEY: Will you go in
and meet him, Dad?

I threw the ring
cos I got angry.

I get a Facebook message saying,

"Your husband
is the biggest dirtball."

Will you tell me what's
going on with you and Kyle?

ANISSA: I am worried for Kyle.

You know what you did,
you BLEEP punk.

Kyle!

CELL DOORS CLANG

JOSH: Since I've been released
from prison,

me and Courtney
got a lot of conflicts.

You act like a b*tch sometimes.

You sit there with a sour look on
your face, with your nose

in your phone,
talking to your dudes

BLEEP giggling
like a little BLEEP girl.

Like I want to BLEEP come home
after 11 years in prison

BLEEP be bitched at every day?

I understand she wants
more affection, more love.

So I'm working on a big surprise.

I want her to understand
my level of love for her.

I hope and pray we can
work our way through this.

I am starting to regret
giving up my career for Josh.

He knows he's hurt me
in so many different ways.

Sometimes I feel like
he doesn't even know

where to begin to fix things.

HORN HONKS

What?

What is this?

"Hey, baby,
I know you had a long day.

"Wanted to surprise you with love.
Love ya."

In a heart. Ooh!

That is so cute!

Oh, my gosh.

Ooh!

Watch out, doggies. Watch out.

DOGS BARK
Stop, stop, stop.

Faith.

Faith!
What are you wearing, Faith?

What is it?

Can I read it? Faith.

"Head to the place

"I hope gets spicier
in the future."

The kitchen.

No.

Josh, don't jump out, please.

I'm easily frightened.

Oh!

"I know you've had a long day.
Take a bath and put this on.

"Love ya."

CHUCKLES
Oh!

No, you didn't.

The dress he picked out...
It's very cleavage-friendly,

so I'm not surprised in his choice.

But this is an absolute shock
and surprise

that he's sending me
on a love hunt right now.

Oh, my God.

BRITNEY: I just wanted to
talk to you real quick.

It's your first time meeting my dad.
You should just wear some pants.

He doesn't need to see that
ankle monitor and everything.

Oh. OK.

My sister's with him.
They've been out and about, so...

Oh, Lord.
- You want to meet them.

I know.
- So...

After I told my family about
Ray and I being in a relationship,

my mom made it clear that
she does not want to meet Ray.

He's excited to meet you guys.

Well, for the record,
I'm not ready to meet him.

You can't get to know him
if you don't meet him.

But I want to meet him when he can
bring something to the table.

But I've kind of separated
my parents now,

and I have my dad
and my sister coming over.

And I'm gonna tell them
that he's actually

inside of the house
waiting to meet them.

I am extremely worried
that they may say in the driveway,

"OK, he's here. Bye.
I don't want to meet him."

I'll give you some time
to throw on something nice.

Mm, yeah.

I'm a little nervous
about meeting her dad.

I don't know how he feels about
me and what he's gonna say.

Black is so dark with that.
Take a little colour.

Britney's having me
to get dressed certain way.

OK?

She want me to do this,
cover this up,

and look like this, put this on.

You look good, babe. So handsome!

Yeah, I like this.

I know how to talk
and present myself the right way.

My dad does not play
about me at all.

I feel like I'm finna go
in front of the judge again.

Well, all right.

OK, sister,
you got you bedazzled.

Hoo! Got my bling-bling on, honey.

Hi, Daddy.

This Texas weather hot!

I just want to let y'all know,

I know I told you guys
that I was in a relationship.

- Yeah.
- He's out.

And so, he's over here to visit,
so I wanted you guys to meet him.

He's here?
- Yeah, he's...

Yeah, he's in here just chilling.

I know what Mom said.
Mom said no, but...

..will you go in
and meet him, Dad?

- All right.
- All right.

- Surprise, surprise.
- Right?

BRITNEY: OK, yeah, come on.

Ugh!

- He want to play.
- OK...

RAY: How you doing?

I want y'all to meet Ray.

How you doing, Mr. BLEEP
How you doing?

Nice to meet you.
-Hello.
Hi. I'm Jackie.

Nice to meet you.
- That's my sister,.

Want to come in, and we can sit down
and get to know each other?

SHE CHUCKLES

- OK.
- Yeah.

- Where do you want to sit?
- Sit here.

I know you want
some time, too, buddy.

Well, look.
LAUGHTER

So, Ray left the halfway house.

Mm-hm.

I would like to let you know
who I am, what I'm about,

cos I know me being in prison

and coming home
in a relationship...

The circumstances
and everything are different.

Mm-hm.

I just wanted to meet you and...

You mind if I ask, how old are you?
- I'm 29. - 29.

- Yes, sir.
- OK.

You're a young man. You got a
lot of life left. - Yes, sir.

Just think about it,
how you want to live, you know?

I need to get back to what I know,
which is going to work.

Like, I've always had good jobs.

You had your good jobs and stuff,
so what was you after

so quickly that, you know,
it got you in...

I was young
and just being kind of lazy.

It was just a money thing,

and I hate I made that decision.

So how will this federal offence
affect you in the future, you know?

My plans are,
I get off of the ankle monitor

and I can go to work.

I just can't go off
the first appearance.

When she was in one relationship,

my daughter was hurt,
tremendously hurt.

And I'll be damned
if I go through that again.

I'll be damned if any man
put his hands on her again.

And I just want to make sure
you don't go through

the exact same as she went before.

He was nice, then all of a sudden

you see all them other demons
and stuff,

and you be like, "Mm."

I have to get to know you
just a little bit more.

Me and Ray do have something
to tell y'all.

Um...

CELL DOORS CLANG

Anissa has been acting different.

She's changed the password.
What is she hiding?

I don't know what I'm looking for,

but I know it's there. Bingo.

CELL DOORS CLANG

CAR HORN HONKS

All right.
There's Penny, right on time.

ANISSA: I have a real hard time
opening up

and trying to tell people
about my feelings.

I just wasn't raised that way.

You know, you were taught
to suck it up

and deal with it and move on.

But I've been really upset
since Kyle has told me

about Jeff having a kid.

For him to keep secrets...
- What is it?

Just tell me what it is.

He may have an 18-year-old kid.

I feel like the trust with Jeff
has been broken.

If he's hiding a kid, there's
no telling what he can hide.

I haven't decided how
I'm gonna approach him yet.

TELEPHONE RINGS

- Hello.
- BLEEP

Yes, sir.

Uh, thank you, sir.

I think it's a trap
when they do stuff like that

to try to get you.

CHUCKLES
It's crazy, isn't it?

Over the last few days,

Anissa has been acting
different.

This is Anissa's laptop

that she brought down here
so I could use to get on the Web.

Technology is definitely
the coolest thing

that I've had to
try to learn to use.

Anissa's attitude's different.

Anissa's, uh,
personality's different.

Her sense of humour's different.

When I was in prison,
she'd laugh all the time.

We'd sit and talk for hours
on the phone.

And here, I can talk to her,

and she'll stare at the floor
or TV and not say a word.

She's changed the password to it.

Without a doubt.

Yeah, this is definitely crazy.
What is she hiding from me?

By her changing that password,
she's hiding something.

I'm gonna find out
what she's hiding in here.

She's hiding something
in this dresser,

as every time I get over
here and get a shirt

or something out,
or get around this dresser,

she starts asking me,

"What do you need out of the
dresser?

"What are you doing over there?"

So I'm gonna find out
what she's hiding in there.

I don't know what I'm looking for,
but I know it's there.

I know it is. I just got to find it.

She's hiding something,
definitely hiding something.

Bingo.

ANISSA: Oh, look how pretty.

Question for you...
What's our budget?

Budget? Just a few hundred
dollars right now...

A few hundred dollars.

Cos Jeff won't quit
spending money.

Me and Penny are looking for
flowers today for the wedding.

Jeff and I have set a date.

It's in three months when
he gets his ankle monitor off.

But right now, I'm not real sure
how I feel about this.

How much money have you spent
since he's been out?

Hmm. About $9,000.
- God!

My Lord!

Chh, chh-chh, chh-chh.

It's my debit card.
I can't cut it up.

You can have
your own personal one.

It is my own personal one.
- But you let him...

He gets it out of my purse.

And I think that
he may be hiding stuff.

That worries me.
What do you mean by that?

He told someone something

that he didn't want me
to know about.

And it's a huge something.

Why is it so huge?

Because it's a kid...
- Ooh.

..that I'm supposed to act
like I don't know about.

Where did you get
your information from?

Kyle. He told Kyle.

Ugh, God.
He's an idiot, isn't he?

He is an idiot.

Why do you not just
confront him with it?

Look at everything that I've done.

OK.

It'll all be for BLEEP.

I think Anissa is definitely jumping
in the marriage way too quickly.

Why would you want to marry somebody

that you know is lying to you
before you ever get married to them?

You could lie about,
"Oh, I spent $20 here,

$20 there."

But, "I have a child.
I just forgot to tell you.

"Oops, sorry." That doesn't work.

It's only gonna progress.

If he'll lie to you about this,

he'll lie to you
about something else.

PHONE CHIMES

Yeah, this phone's definitely
still got time on it

and everything.
It's not shut off, for sure.

And the only numbers
that's in it...

Kurt, Kyle, John,

Wes, Jim, and Terry.

I don't know not one name on...

..but Kyle's.

There's pictures of her
in sexy lingerie

that I ain't never even seen.

I haven't even seen
them lingerie pictures.

And I know she wasn't
taking them for me.

Who was they tooken for?

It's here because that's our bed
right in there. It ain't old.

Yeah, definitely... something
definitely up with her and Kyle.

I think they got
a sexual relationship, for sure.

Without a doubt.

I don't think it's over,
but I don't think...

I think it slowed down some,
you know, cos I'm here.

I definitely think Kyle and Anissa
has had sex

because of the way
that they act...

Laugh all the time,
talk for hours on the phone.

I think Kyle is nosy, junkie.

I think he's definitely trying
to be a BLEEP blocker.

She's even got pictures of other
dudes from jail

on the camera visits,
so it has a date and the location

of the picture's been taken.
I really don't know what's going on.

The only thing I can do
is believe

my... my... my gut feeling,
believe my intuition.

It's always led me in the right
way any other time, so...

I definitely ain't gonna
stand for it.

NICOLLE: I'm stupid.
That's what you're telling me.

DAONTE: I'm not saying
you're stupid. You forget stuff.

I know what the BLEEP I say.
You be saying BLEEP

like I said it when I don't, too.

You be BLEEP saying BLEEP.

- Hey.
- No, the BLEEP I didn't.

I'm Tia.

I want to talk to you.

- You want to talk to me?
- Yeah.

You posted my woman
like she was yours.

I got a problem with that, yeah.

Look, I agree with the disrespect
from the BLEEP with that dude.

I told her it was like
she spit in your face.

It was disrespectful.

But it ain't like that with me.
I don't want Nicolle.

I'm not trying to step on your toes.
Like, I'm not.

So, then, if you know
that's my girl...

I do know! -..why is you posting her
like she your girl?

We was drunk.
It wasn't even like that.

Cos, I mean, I was lit.
It wasn't like that.
She didn't...

We didn't kiss on the mouth,
nothing like that. We didn't.

I did lie a little bit.
Let me... I did lie.

I just don't want to
hurt his BLEEP feelings.

I can't explain it, like...

Yeah, we used to
be together, but...

Like, it's not like that no more.

DAONTE: You know, I'm staying cool.

But now my radar up cos
I don't know what's going on.

Like, why is she here?

I'm looking over my shoulder,
like, somebody else coming?

You know? Is Zakk gonna show up
next? Like...

So let me ask you this question.
- OK.

Has she ever even told you about me?

I've known about you since prison.

Yeah. I think you're
pretty good-looking, honestly.

I-I didn't think you looked
that good in your pictures.

- Appreciate it.
- For real.

You're a handsome, uh,
gentleman yourself.

I asked her about
y'all being together

and, like, you know,
how far it was gonna go.

Like, what y'all's...
What y'all's future looking like?

I'm just asking.
- Me and her?

Yeah.
- Like, what do you want?

BLEEP. I wanted to be with her.

I wanted to marry her and...
- Right.

Have kids one day, all that.

But not acting like this.

You got a choice to make,
and I'm serious.

You want to continue this thing,

I love you. I want to continue, too.

But we need to...
We got a lot to work on.

I feel like you need to pick
who you really want to be with.

And I'm not saying me or, you know,
him.

I'm saying him or Zakk or anybody.

Like, you need to just pick
and stick with it,

cos if you was my girlfriend,

you know it would not fly,
you know that.

So don't do it to him
cos he lets you.

Ugh. BLEEP overwhelming me!

I do feel like you need to
make a decision, Nicolle.

Can I just talk to you
over here for a minute?

- Me?
- Yeah.

- OK.
- I'll be back.

I want to talk to you, too.

All right.

TIA: This dude is in love with you.

Who do you want?
Who do you want?

Who do you want to be with?

cos if you tell me right now that

you're not willing to let him
go for me,

then I'm gonna fall back.

I don't play them games,
you know that.

I love you, I do.

And I respect you enough
to, like...

If that's what you want, do it.

If it's not, go tell him.
NICOLLE: I don't know!

Because I really want
to be with you.

Like, I really do.

But I feel like I don't want
to walk in there right now

and be like...
- "I'm done."

Yeah!

I don't want to hurt
his feelings.

Like, he is a very good guy.
Like I know I...

BLEEP. Well, guess what?
You're gonna hurt him

with or without me being in the
picture,

cos you already have with that dude.

The ball is in your court,
Nicolle.

I got the same room for tonight,

so if you want come finish
what we started, you can.

If you don't,
I really am gonna fall back.

I'm going to the bar.

- All right.
- OK.

CLEARS THROAT

I feel real pressure
to make a decision right now,

and I know I'm not ready.

I want them both.

I feel like Daonte's so good to me.

I feel like Tia, you know, like...

We have a lot of history and a...

Like, a crazy connection, though.

I think I'm going to...

I think I'm going to...

This is about to be
a bad conversation.

Oh, God.

CELL DOORS CLANG

That's not the way
we want Britney to settle.

Don't waste my time.

I don't give a BLEEP
what he's got...

BLEEP g*n, a knife.
I'm a BLEEP monster.

- Oh, BLEEP
- Oh!

CELL DOORS CLANG

WATER SPLASHING

It's great that she was able
to wash my back.

I can't reach back there
that well.

While I was in prison,

I realised I like the feeling
of getting a tattoo.

Um, something about a tattoo is like
kind of like an addiction for me.

It releases endorphins in my body

that gets me high,
like drugs would some people.

So during my time in incarceration,
I've acquired all these tattoos.

This skull on my hand
appears to be a mask

when I put it on
whenever I have to mask up.

You know, when corona's
out here,

I just, you know, put my...
Put my hand on my face.

I went and got a Rachel tattoo

before me and Rachel even ever
had our first physical visit.

This is a picture of Rachel's
favourite teddy bear,

which she sleeps with him.
This tattoo right here...

Rachel made me a book called
"The Little Spoon, Big Spoon."

I have Rachel's name
tattooed there on my hand.

Rachel's initials...
Rachel BLEEP.

Here, I have "Big Spoon."

I probably
shouldn't have done it,

but I love every one
of my tattoos equally,

so I don't give a BLEEP.

Me and Ray do have something
to tell y'all.

Ray changed his address,
so we decided to live together.

And so he's here.
He's on home confinement.

Um, I mean, I was really nervous
about telling you this.

I'm surprised you're just, like,
even smiling at me right now.

Oh, I ain't.

I'm just in shock.
- Yeah.

And you said you didn't
want it to be a secret. - I don't.

But we could have voiced our opinion

before you made that commitment
to him to move in.

Some guys take advantage
and do nothing

and expect everything.

And hopefully that's not you.

And that's not the way
we want Britney to settle.

We want the best for Britney,
you know?

If you're not sincere,
then don't waste my time.

I understand
where you're coming from.

And my parents were like,

"Now, you don't need
to go over there

"and be playing or, you know,

"don't waste this woman's time,"
you know. - Right.

You know, so they kind of
got on me.

They'll let me know
when I'm doing wrong.

I just want to, you know,
put that out there.

We're gonna pray that you don't.

I just want to know
what Ray's intention is with my...

with my sister. I really do.

So I will want to, you know,
meet the family

and just see me and see my plans.

That's all I can say.
Smooth talker right now.

I just think it's kind of fast
that you move him in your house

and he ain't got nothing
lined up as of yet.

I mean, yeah, he's talking.
He got the plans and stuff.

And you still working two jobs.

Nothing wrong with him staying
at home

till he figure it out...
ROLAND: Yeah.

..and get something done
for his self.

RAY: I feel a little shade
from Britney's sister, Jackie.

She should at least
get to know me,

see what I'm about
before you judge me.

I am older now.
Like, I'm not in my 20s any more.

And, see, that's why I'm saying
I'm willing to...

To, uh, give that opportunity
and wish it well, you know,

until you prove me wrong,
you know, but...

And then I can embrace him
and support him

and be more involved
and treat him as a family member,

you know?

All I can do is come home

and just show my loyalty
and, you know,

put my actions, you know, to work,

cos, you know,
that's what type of person I am.

Some people fall down.
It's just how they get up.

- Right.
- See?

You know,
I'll just wish it well.

- Oh, that was sweet.
- Aw!

Girl, don't cry.
You finna have me to start crying.

After talking to my dad
and my sister,

I feel like it's a great step
in the right direction.

However, I feel Ray...
He needs to show them

that he is the man for me.

I'm glad y'all met.

I'm... I'm glad I got to
meet you, too.

I did hear about you.
I didn't see nothing about you.

Seeing is believing.

ROLAND: Right now, Ray's not
bringing anything to the table.

I'm willing to give him that
opportunity and to support it.

But I'm from the old school,
show-and-tell, you know?

Show me. Show me what you can do.

Hopefully,
Mom will come around and...

Well... It'll just take some time
for your mom.

You know how she is.

I know you're gonna tell her this.
Can you...?

No. I'm gonna let you handle it.

RACHEL: You're not gonna believe
what the BLEEP just happened.

I just found out, like,
from another person,

that Doug's been cheating on me
this entire BLEEP time.

After everything I've done
for that stupid mother BLEEP,

there's no way in BLEEP hell
that he's ever loved me.

So to show that I don't BLEEP
really care any more,

this... this little piece
of BLEEP... I'm done.

BLEEP going in
the BLEEP garbage.

Out the BLEEP door,
just like everything else.

Dumb b*tch.

CAR DOOR SLAMS

So, I just found out that
Doug's been cheating on me

this entire time.

He's had another woman
that's been, I guess,

in the picture way longer

than we had ever been
corresponding.

Doug went with his friend
to his house.

He's like, "I'm going to Gary's."
I said, "OK."

I get a Facebook message saying,

"Your husband came to my house
with some b*tch.

"I don't know who the BLEEP she is,

"but he's never welcome
in our house ever again.

"And he is a dog
and you deserve better.

"Your husband
is the biggest dirtball

"on the face of the BLEEP planet.

"Quit giving him your money.
Quit taking care of his kid.

"Quit taking care of him.

"And if it were me,
I would pray to God

"that another woman
would reach out to me

"and tell me that my husband
was cheating on me."

Last night, I threw the ring
cos I got angry,

and that's just what I decided
to do. And thinking, you know,

at least maybe try to get some money

off of this broken-a*s, BLEEP-a*s,
worthless marriage.

Yesterday, Doug gets home,

and I ask him about the message,
like, "What's going on here?"

And he's like, "They're in a bad
place within their relationship,

"so they just want to ruin ours.

"It was Gary's friend."

Wait. Here it is.

You know, it was the friend's
girl sidepiece.

I talked to the girl,
and she admitted to me

that they had been having relations.

I checked phone records
cos I'm the primary holder

on our phone account.
And I seen, like,

as soon as he got out,
they were talking.

So, yeah, that's what it was.

I was just absolutely boggled
at the whole thing,

cos I really firmly believed,
thought we didn't hide anything.

I didn't think that he was doing
the things that he was doing.

I mean, Doug re-proposed
to me two days ago.

So when some random person
comes up and tells me

that they seen my husband
at their house with a girl,

it blew my mind.
I didn't want to believe it.

Last night, we were arguing,
and perhaps I said something

that pushed
a little too many buttons,

and he decided to punch out
the cabinet door.

What he told me was
that he loves me so much,

he punched the cabinet door
instead of my face.

That's his idea...

That's how BLEEP up
his perception of love is.

It's like, "Hey, I love you so much,

"I punched that cabinet door,
not your face."

Um, I don't know how to
rationalise or...

Or piece that
to make it make sense to me.

So, he stayed here
because his tether has him

as his curfew to stay here.

And, um,
so I didn't have a choice

but for me to leave.

I stayed at my mom's place.

Um, I really...
Emotionally and mentally,

I wasn't in the right
frame of mind to sit here

and try to rationalise
how I gave my entire life

to somebody where I...
It was... it was a joke.

My entire relationship
was a joke.

I've been swindled
by the best manipulator

that I've ever met, possibly.

And to think about that
is just absolutely horrifying.

So, here's the, uh...

well, empty dresser.

Took all his BLEEP left.

I think he was very concerned about,

well, you know, whatever little
belongings I had got for him.

Made sure not a crumb
was left behind, you know,

cos that's all he really
cared about was stuff.

Except for the dumb b*tch
forgot this, uh, shirt.

Trash it, give it away.

Doug Jr's not here any more.

All his BLEEP gone, too.

Doug even made sure

that he took the gaming systems
and everything so that...

Which is fine cos I looked at
Dougie like my son, so...

This was, uh, Doug Jr's room,
Dougie's room.

It's empty. Nothing here.

Just like it once was.

It's empty, clean.

It's just, I'm... I'm shook.

Like, the air was taken from me,

my life was taken from me,
everything I ever wanted...

My family, a happy home,
a marriage, community.

Like, that's...
That's what I wanted.

Um, and it was just taken from me

like that, you know?

So it sucks.

I-I, um...
I really, truly believe...

Like, I never pictured
in a million years, like,

that this would... I would have
been the statistic,

that it was gonna go down
this way.

Like, I still...
Still can't believe, like...

I don't know.
Part of me feels like

I failed again or whatever,

like I just can't get it right,
you know?

When I had Dougie,
my life felt complete.

I felt like I had a reason
to wake up

in the morning and make waffles or
pancakes with chocolate chips

and talk about life or make jokes.

And now I am literally by myself,

back to square one.

Sucks. This isn't...
This isn't how I wanted it to be.

CELL DOORS CLANG

Welcome. LISA: Me and my brother
have a close bond.

We've been getting along
really good.

- Have you?
I'm ready to confront him

and ask him why he's been
treating my sister like BLEEP.

Who are you gonna
ride back with?

I'm not ready to lose you.

But you not ready
to lose her, either.

CELL DOORS CLANG

"Find the food I would love
to eat at our visits."

Sour Patch Kids.

"Go to the place I kissed you
after our first argument."

Well, I can't go to
the Toledo visiting room.

Josh has sent me on a little bit
of a scavenger hunt.

I'm excited to see where
I'm going.

"Follow the path
to find your big surprise."

Oh, my gosh.

Look both ways before crossing.

Did you like
your scavenger hunt?

Yeah, you BLEEP dork.
BOTH LAUGH

I wanted to do
something for you, you know,

and this was, like,
a perfect ideal.

How you feeling right now?

Happy, shocked.

Got you some little crackers,
little pepperonis, cheeses.

You got pickles?

Yep, I brought the big dills out.

And I want to tell you I'm sorry
for the other day, like, arguing

and all that nonsense.

Like, that BLEEP
accomplishes nothing, you know?

I'm sure there will be
more arguments,

but a lot more picnics.

I know.

I'm trying, you know?

I would do anything
to show you I'm trying.

Oh, my God, Joshua.

What the BLEEP is in here?

I bought a ring
basically because

I realised I hurt you, you know?

I'm sorry for what I did.
It's not gonna happen again.

Nope, not gonna flush it.

JOSH: I regret flushing my ring
down the toilet in prison.

It had a lot of value to her
and a lot of meaning to her.

And I know that BLEEP hurt.

We're gonna get back to what we had.
You know, we're gonna get back

to both of us being fully satisfied

and not having to worry about
not pleasing one another.

As far as, like, parole and BLEEP
I do gotta check in.

At this point in time,

I have never been given
an answer

as to why my husband
cannot parole to our home.

He will be checking in
with his parole officer,

and then he will be paroling
to his cousin's house

after the 14 days of quarantine.

I'm tired of BLEEP just
not being able to just stay at home.

I hope we can do something.

Be BLEEP to go down without a fight.

Josh and I talk
in great deal about the future.

He knows my dream
is to build a house,

have a wedding,
and to foster children.

But that's still years down
the road.

At this point,
we've been through so much

that nothing's gonna stop us
being together.

Is this too tight?

No.

Don't take it away from me.

SIGHS

Give it back.
- Will you marry me?

Is that what you want?
- Forever.

For real.

Yes.

All right.

I'm focused on the future,
you know?

Like, now after today,

you know, I know
what I'm doing wrong,

I know what I need to fix,
and I feel like

the future's gonna be
better than the past.

Give me a kiss.

This is about to be
a bad conversation. Oh, God.

Hey.
- What's up?

So, who are you gonna
ride back with?

So what you talk about?
What you come up with?

You can talk.

I'm aware.
My mouth is not taped shut.

I feel like...

I feel like I love you,
like, a lot, like,

and I want to be with you.

Like, I've always said that.

But I feel like, on the other end,
like,

I kind of want to be in,
like, an open relationship.

I'm not ready to lose you.

But you not ready
to lose her, either,

is basically what you're telling me.

I mean, I do want her
in my life, yeah.

I've been through too much
to come second to anybody.

That's not second.
You would be first.

I'm not coming second to nobody.

And I would be in an open
relationship with you.

And I'm not interested in sharing.

I'm 33 years old.
I don't have time for this.

So if you can't be exclusive to me,

you don't need to be with me,
period,

and you can go and be with her,

and you can have her
take care of you.

I haven't even had Nicolle
by my damn self yet.

Why the hell would
I want to share her right now?

That's BLEEP ridiculous.

I want to marry you.

I want to be with a woman

that wants to be with me,
and only me,

not me and everybody else.

I already had that.
I don't want that no more.

I thought you were different.

I'm gonna walk the BLEEP
away from you,

and this will be
the last you see of me.

I can't do this. I'm gone.

SCOFFS
This BLEEP is crazy, man.

I don't feel like it's fair for him

to put me on the spot
and make me choose,

because I'm not ready
to settle down with one person.

BLEEP man.

Like, I'm just 23 years old.

I want Tia when Daonte's not around.

I want Daonte
when Tia's not around.

I mean, can't I just have
my cake and eat it, too?

It's not that hard.

Look, I do really care
about him.

I feel like I just hurt
the BLEEP guy's feelings.

Probably the hardest thing
I ever had to do.

But I think I needed that.

It's hard for me to say I'm done,
but I think I'm done.

What's to come, Nicolle,
you know what I'm saying?

Like, I want to try
to be together, you know?

All that prison talk she gave me...

She sold me this dream,
and she came out and she changed.

Are we doing this, Nicolle?

I mean...
- Just me and you.

My decision was made.
He's gone, isn't he?

Zakk's gone.

NICOLLE: I might have went about
BLEEP the wrong way,

but I do love Daonte,

just not as deep
as he wants me to.

But this isn't the last time
that we'll see each other.

Give me a kiss.

DAONTE:
I'm done with liars, cheaters,

people trying to take advantage
of me,

take my kindness for weakness.

BLEEP that. She can have her.

BOTH CHUCKLE

CELL DOORS CLANG

What about being engaged?

Maybe two, three years, something.
- Three?!

Why are you pushing that off
now that you're out of prison?

Don't play with my time, honey.

Well, you're doing a good job.

Would I be dating Stan
if he didn't have money? Um...

Is this really what you want?
Stan's a piece of BLEEP

I'm ready to confront him.

CELL DOORS CLANG

WATER POURING

GULPING

Babe, what's wrong with you?
What's aggravating you?

Nothing.
I'm just looking in my phone.

No.

Why are you staring at me?

Cos you won't tell me
what's wrong with you.

There ain't nothing wrong.

It definitely frustrates me

that I found all this BLEEP
on Anissa's phone.

Kyle and his girlfriend
are coming over later.

If Anissa walked up to me
right now and said,

"I hid something from you.
Me and Kyle slept together,"

I'd walk out of this trailer,

cos I ain't into all that BLEEP.

Tell me what's wrong with you.

Nothing. - It don't matter what it
is. I know something's wrong.

ANISSA: It's been hard on me
the last few days.

I've been really upset,
and I keep hoping

that Jeff will come to me

and tell me
about having a kid.

Is there something
you need to tell me?

I know something's wrong.

You're gonna either tell me
what's wrong with you,

and you're gonna tell me what's
going on with you and Kyle,

or I'm leaving you today.

I'll cut this bracelet off
my leg and I'll walk out here.

Kyle is my friend.

Do you think you should tell me
you have a kid?

Who told you about this kid?

Kyle.

Kyle told you?
- Yeah, Kyle told me.

Well, that BLEEP snake-a*s,
b*tch-a*s BLEEP hunky, man.

I thought I heard
somebody pull up out there.

He's the biggest BLEEP

punk-a*s mother BLEEP
I've ever met in my life.

I'm gonna beat his BLEEP eyes out.

Punk-a*s b*tch.

You know what you did,
you BLEEP punk.

He went and told Anissa
about the BLEEP baby.

And me about ready to tell her.

BREATHING HEAVILY
Oh, God.

MAN: She just said
something to him.

He's a b*tch for it, man.

Punk-a*s BLEEP hunky.

I don't give a BLEEP
what he's got!

I don't give a BLEEP
if he's got a BLEEP g*n,

a knife, a stick.

I don't give a BLEEP

I'm a BLEEP damn monster.

I'm gonna beat the BLEEP
out of him.

- No, you're not.
- Nobody's gonna fight nobody.

What was I supposed to say?

He's the one with the secret.

I appreciate the fact
that Kyle told me

because he thought
that I should know.

But I'm not sure why Jeff thinks

that something's going on
between me and Kyle,

because Kyle and I
have never done anything.

We've never so much as even
attempted to kiss one another.

He just doesn't like
that Kyle's my friend.

But he wasn't here
for all the times

that he didn't show up,
and Kyle was.

I am worried for Kyle

because he might hurt him.

I'm not gonna let them
get me involved at all.

They're gonna have to
work this out their selves.

- Stop.
- No!

- Kyle, stop.
- Kyle!

I'm gonna get my spray, Bubba.

What are you waiting on?
Christmas?

Dude, it ain't...

Was your whooper broke?

No BLEEP damn right
it ain't broke BLEEP.

- Is your whooper broke, b*tch?
- No.

Come on.
Come on, b*tch, get up!

Stan seems a little bit arrogant.

Lisa is like a twin to me.

I heard you threw her clothes
out in the yard.

It pissed me off a lot.

CELL DOORS CLANG

You look so handsome.

RAY: Thank you, baby.

You look beautiful yourself.
You look stunning.

"Stunning."

Here we are.

A date, babe.

This feel unreal.

This morning,
Ray was able to just finally

get the ankle monitor off.

Yay!
LAUGHS

Let's get out of here.

I'm done with
this halfway house BLEEP.

Deuces!
- I'm out this b*tch.

And now he can really
get out here in the real world,

get adjusted, start working,

and hopefully meet my mother
as soon as possible.

I like this dating stuff. Sweet.

Three dates a month now.

Three?
- Three.

BRITNEY:
However, I feel Ray has to

really come with his "A" game.

My dad's not a very big believer
of what he calls "shacking up"...

- Hello. How you doing?
- Welcome.

And playing the role of a wife,

but not really being a wife.

He believes that's just
not how things should work.

To us on our first date.

Yay!

Put this in my lap, huh?

It's been a while, huh?
I'm not up on ways yet.

It's been a long time.
I ain't been out to eat forever.

I know. We used to talk about
being out to eat, being together.

It's crazy.

So...

What's first?

Get straight to looking up
jobs online and stuff?

That's the main thing right
now is a job.

It's just important, I think,
just for your own independence too.

Just so...
You don't want to always,

"Babe, can you get me this? Can..."
you know?

Right.

Being more like a provider,
you know?

I'll be able to surprise you,
bring stuff home, you know?

Yes, gifts!

I'm so glad we're on
the same page about that.

We already have all these plans

and little babies
running around, so...

I feel like my time clock
is just...

I'm getting older, I guess.

I don't want to be, like,
a 40-year-old mom.

So that definitely
has to happen, like,

sooner than later.

- Like, within the next year?
- Yeah.

Maybe two, three years, something,
for the marriage.

Three?!

Don't you think
a lot of people...

Your parents, included, mine.

..would ask, why are we doing
it the opposite way?

Nah. I don't think so.

What about being engaged?

That's cool.
We can be engaged as well.

You know?

No, I don't want a hush ring.

You know, you give me the ring,

and then three years passes
and we still not married.

LAUGHS

No, it won't be...
It won't be nothing like that.

Be engaged for like a year
or something?

Or that's too much time?

No, I mean, a year.

I want you to have time to save
and get me a really nice ring...

Blinged-out, big, one solid stone.

I want to be married
before Ray and I do have a baby.

I need something stronger than this.

See how much alcohol
they got in here.

Are you nervous?

Oh, yeah, that ain't enough.

There's a few reasons
why I don't want to wait.

I feel like
when you know you know.

Ray and I have already
talked about this.

We've discussed it. Why are you
pushing that off now that

you have the monitor off
and you're out of prison?

You should just keep
the same energy you had

when you were locked up.

I don't want to
too much rush anything,

and I just want to do it right,
so...

Don't play with my time, honey.

I'm excited. Where we going next?

I want to go bowling.

Thank you.

Don't worry. Your days are coming.

You'll get to pay for everything
soon as you get a job.

Now that the ankle monitor is off,

I will be starting a job
and start my own business,

you know what I'm saying,
so I can help Britney

with just bills around the house,
start paying my restitutions,

and save up to buy a ring.

Hey, maybe next month.
- Maybe so.

I have stuff planned,

and I will be doing
what I said I'll do.

I am a man of my word.
I stand on what I said.

And that's it.

I mean, you just... you gotta
stick around and see.

You got to go by the directions.

- Want to go 415?
- No.

Oof! We're gonna have to
open the thing because...

BLEEP. Here. Turn that vent on.

I hope this goes all right.

Me and my brother...
We have a close bond.

He's also gonna say
what he's got to say.

That's just who he is.

He knows everything that's happened
since I've come out of prison.

I hope he keeps an open mind, too.

LISA: Living with Stan at his house,
we're getting along great,

and this is kind of the person
that I got used to

when I was in prison.

You see how direct and blunt
that I am?

He's the same way.
- Is he the same way?

LISA: My brother's been
locked up many times.

In the past, Rick showed me how
to, um, make some quality meth.

DOORBELL RINGS

He's quick-tempered

and he knows about
the crazy BLEEP I came out to.

And I know that he knows
that my feelings were hurt.

And I can only imagine
what he's gonna say to Stan.

- Welcome. How you doing?
- Hey. How you doing?

I'm Rick.
- Rick, how you doing, man?

Good.
- Hi. I'm Debbie.

Debbie, hi. Good to meet you, too.

It's kind of exciting
to meet the family members.

So how... how's it going?

- All right, all right.
- Huh?

STAN: I don't know
too much about Debbie,

except for that, uh,

she used to practically be
Lisa's mother

when Lisa was growing up.

And then, Rick...
He seems to be a guy

that she counts on heavily
for advice.

Lisa's from a family of criminals,

so I'm a little bit nervous.

I'm not worried that Debbie
and Rick won't like me.

I mean, there's nothing,
really, to not like.

- So how was the trip?
- It was nice.

We've been going
about every two days

with full rain all day.

It's been really wet.
- Yeah.

So how... how's things going
between you guys?

- I-I think really good.
- Yeah.

We've been getting along
really good.

Have you?

I think so.

I hope so.

I'm trying to take good care of her.

She needs it.

Yep.

Lisa...
She has a really poor taste

when she picks her men.

Rick, I want to show you some stuff
up here. All right.

I call it the viewing room.

I feel like
Stan's a piece of BLEEP.

I'm ready to confront him

and ask him why he's been
treating my sister like,

you know, he has.

It's kind of a baseball room.

I-I heard you like
the Cardinals and...

- Yeah.
- I'm a Yankee fan...

- Oh, wow.
LAUGHS

Well, you want to sit...
Sit and have a talk?

Sure. Absolutely.

Well, uh, you know,
Lisa is like a twin to me.

When something happens to me,
it normally happens to her, you
know?

And when I heard that you threw
her clothes out in the yard,

BLEEP,

it pissed me off a lot.

When she called me,
you know, she was bawling

because you really hurt her,
you know?

She's like, you know,
"I really like this guy,

"and I really don't know
what just happened."

LISA: What's your first
impression of Stan?

Well, in my mind,
I keep visioning him

throwing you out,
and that pisses me off.

I'd have been gone.

Yeah, well, I mean...

When my BLEEP hit the ground,

my feet would have
hit the street.

Well, I think that he thought
that I would come into his world

and it would just be me
and nothing else.

There would be none of my kids,
you know...

Life don't work that way.

You're right. It doesn't.

She's been through a... a lot.

When I go to talk about it,
you know, I get choked up

because her ex-husband
beat her BLEEP.

When stuff like that happens,
you know,

normally I come in and BLEEP

and, you know, like Superman.

I just don't want to, you know...
Nothing to happen to my sister.

Yeah, I understand that.

And I would never touch her, anyway,
in any way except for a loving way.

She's already scarred enough.

She can't keep being scarred.

I just hope it...
It don't happen no more.

It ain't gonna happen no more.
I apologise to you and her

and everybody I can apologise
to that matters.

So I'm doing everything
I know how to do.

I'm trying...
Whatever she needs.

I mean, he's genuine
in some of the things

that he does, you know,
like getting me a car.

He bought me this hair,

paid $3,200 off of my tickets
so I could get my licence.

I've just never really...
You... well,

I've never played my looks
as a key to anything

or to try to get
out of anything.

Well, you're doing a good job.

Would I be dating Stan if
he didn't have a lot of money?

Um...

I don't even know
how to answer that,

because I've never had
an actual job.

My job was selling drugs.

Obviously, with 15 felonies,
it's hard to, um, obtain work.

So I did what I... you know,
I could figure I could do.

I got on some, uh,
SeekingArrangements

and Secret Benefits,
and I-I figured it out.

RICK: Just always know

that I'm gonna be around,
always watching, you know?

CELL DOORS CLANG

Punk-a*s b*tch!

The neighbours are gonna
call the cops.

CELL DOORS CLANG

Come on.
You want your a*s whooped?

BLEEP let's do it.

What are you waiting on?
Christmas?

Was your whooper broke?

BLEEP
WOMAN: Oh!

No!

- Come on! Come on!
- Guys...

- BLEEP BLEEP.
- Over here.

- b*tch.
- Come on, punk-a*s b*tch!

- Kyle.
- Grow up, dude.

Kyle, come over here.

Dude BLEEP damn.

The neighbours are gonna
call the cops on us.

Jeff and Kyle are both ex-cons,

so if this gets out of hand
and the neighbours call the police,

then Jeff will go back
to the halfway house, probably,

would be violating his parole.

Now, if you was man enough,

you'd sit there and tell me
you were wrong for what you done.

What did I do wrong?
- You told her about that kid,

knowing I was ready to tell her in
five minutes!

I'm not going out there.

I have nothing to say
to either one of them.

BLEEP.

Why would you feel like that?

Your old phone that you had...

I found it in your drawer there.

The photo album
what you had in it...

I found it.

You was taking lingerie pictures
and stuff

and sending them to other dudes.

And we was together for a year
and a half when you did it.

The date and time on them
was October 19th of 2019.

Those were from two years ago,

and we were talking on and off.

We weren't back together.

And I thought that

it was just over,
that I wasn't gonna get

the wedding of my dreams
or the man of my dreams.

ANISSA: I'm mad that Jeff
went through my phone,

cos I don't go through his phone.

I did take those pictures
for someone else,

and I took them
when we were broken up

because he had gotten out
of prison and hadn't shown up.

I-I was as lost as you can be.

I really didn't know
you felt that way.

Yeah.

Do you still want to marry me?
How you feel about our wedding?

How do you feel
about us getting married?

I just feel like
you broke my trust

by not telling me.

I don't know if I'll ever
be able to trust you again.

For you to trust me,
I gotta make you trust me.

I gotta build that trust up.
We need to work on that.

For the last 11 years
that Jeff's been in prison,

I hoped and dreamed about
having a beautiful wedding,

but I'm not sure I can
say that right now.

If he lied to me about this,

then there's probably other
things he's lying about, too.

You've got a right to feel
that way, I understand,

and I'll make it...
And I'll make it right,

and I'll build my trust back.

This is too much for me to handle.

ANISSA: This could be the end
of me and Jeff.

CELL DOORS CLANG

I just got to end
this chapter of my life.

I have no use for you no more.

Bye, Nicolle.
Burn, mother BLEEP.

CELL DOORS CLANG

CHUCKLES
Oh, well.

Well, here's my... my straps.

In prison, um, we're not
allowed to have our own sex toys,

so you make your...
Your straps homemade.

Mouth gag, whips.

You get a rubber glove from...

An officer will sometimes
drop one for you.

And then you get
a number-two pencil,

use a pad, wrap a rag around it,

and then you take a state bra
poke a hole in the middle,

and you just strap it on.

Oh, here's the other one.

I had sex, um, with my roommate
right before I got out of prison.

What the BLEEP is this?
I guess it's, like,

a p*nis pump, I don't know.

It was fun, uh, convenient.

I would probably be
with three or four women.

Why not? You get into it
with roommates,

and girls, you know,
that's just what they do.

All right. Little kinky.

So, you know, I had a few fans.

Lisa... She's been through a lot.

You know, when you guys got
in those fights and stuff,

then I hear that, "He threw
my BLEEP out in the yard,

"told me I was a bad mom,"

I just don't want her disrespected.

Right. Absolutely.

Just always know,

I'm gonna be around,
always watching, you know?

All right.

Rick is, uh...
Is the big brother,

and he is very protective, and he
should be, of his sister.

So it's a little...
Little nerve-racking.

So is this really what you want?

Are you wanting to stay here?

I hope that we've gotten past
all the craziness,

so I'm gonna try to see
where it goes from here.

I think he knows there ain't no
throwing your BLEEP out in the yard,

or none of that BLEEP.
Call me next time
there's problems.

I'll come up here.

He probably got the hint up there.

Well, I love you no matter what.

Well, I love you, too.

I think it's odd my sister, uh,
met him on a dating site.

She normally don't do, you know,
those kind of things.

Normally, I can tell her,
you know, if she's conniving

or, you know,
trying to play the game.

She told me that she was
really wanting to, you know,

make it work with this guy,
and to me, it doesn't seem like,

you know, she's telling the truth.

- Drive safe. - All right.
- OK. - I love you.

- See you later. We love you.
- Love you, too.

Do I see a future with Stan?
I-I-I...

I hope so.

I... I'm not sure that I want
to be tied down again.

Um, I kind of like being...
Playing the field.

Seems like we're, uh...
We're on the right page,

got the air cleared...

CHUCKLES
Yeah.

..understand each other more.

I met this girl, and I talk
to her every day on the phone.

I think it's really,
really going well.

Yeah, I think so, too.

Stan doesn't know,

and I'm just trying to see
how I'm gonna work it all out.

You bring it?

Yeah, I got it.

I brought something

so we can help you move past
this point of your life.

You can sink it.

DERRICK: You can light it
on fire.

You can do whatever you want.

I guess all good things
gotta come to an end sometime.

DAONTE: After talking to Nicolle
for a year and a half,

you know, I always pictured,

this is the woman I'm gonna spend
the rest of my life with.

- Hey!
- Ah!

SQUEALS

We can't wait to be alone.

It's been, like, one hell of
an emotional roller coaster.

Why the BLEEP did you tell
my mom that we were engaged?

No sex until I get my boobs done.

Baby, don't do that. Come on.

How many chicks
did I BLEEP in prison?

Yes!

You're serious? Oh, so that's why
you won't give me no BLEEP

cos you're with this mother BLEEP

You're full of BLEEP Nicolle.

I probably spent
about $30,000 on her.

I did not expect, uh,
it to turn out like this.

And I look like a damn fool.

You'd probably been
proud of me last night.

I'm glad you snapped on her.

Like, she constantly
disrespecting you.

I just got to end
this chapter of my life.

I need you to realise,

once you put it in there,
no calling her,

no... block her from everything.

Done with that BLEEP.

Listen, man, uh,
I'm gonna take my time.

I'm gonna go wherever
the wind blow me.

As long as it don't blow you to her.

If it blows me back to her
at some point...

Why the BLEEP would you do that?
SIGHS

I'm just saying, whatever happen
in the future will happen.

But right now,
time to lay you to rest.

Close that BLEEP damn lid.

Dearly beloved...

What the BLEEP.

That's right.

We're gathered here today

to lay rest to ol' Nikki Jr.

LAUGHS

The only one that's been
true to me

or been with me through it all...

.was Nicolle Jr.

I might need you tonight.

That's some sad BLEEP but...

..that's what's been there...
Nicolle Jr.

Ready to send you off.

But...

I have no use for you no more.
I...

There it is.

I need to move on.

You been good to me, but, man,

I need the real thing,
cos you ain't cutting it.

That's for all the pain
and misery you done caused me.

You and your frickin' mama.

I'm just glad you finally
got rid of this

and you finally got rid of her.

Ah, look at that.
Burn, mother BLEEP.

DERRICK: I definitely feel like
he's not gonna let her go just yet,

but hopefully
he's understanding that

he gets rid of the doll,
he gets rid of her,

and he can move on with his life.

Bye, Nicolle.

Hopefully she stay gone.

Obviously,
I still got love for her.

And I never say never,
but right now it's goodbye.

She like a bad rash.
You just can't get rid of it.

Nicoll, I burnt the thing that
reminded me the most about you.

You lost a good one.

You... You lost a good one.

I don't think this is it, nah.

I think Daonte
will come back around.

It might take a while, but...

..he'll come back.

I mean, they always do,
yeah, of course.

DAONTE:
Damn this being celibate.

Plenty more fish in the sea.

And definitely, definitely

don't go on the prison website.

No, no, sir.
Unh-unh, no.

I hear you. I don't believe you,
but I hear you.

SIGHS

Just want to let you know
this is so weird.

CELL DOORS CLANG

Poor little Dougie.

He's had to go through
so much with his dad.

Where are they?

MOBILE RINGS

RACHEL: BLEEP.

CELL DOORS CLANG

Take a break, honey.
Come sit with me.

RACHEL: I'm not feeling it
right now, Mom.

I'm still, uh... I'm in the
zone, you know what I'm saying?

It's, uh, therapeutic.
- Get over here.

I'm so sorry.
- Ugh. I just keep BLEEP up.

What happened to the cupboards?

Oh, you know,
Doug and I got into an argument,

so he punched the cabinet out,

thinking that he did me a favour
by sparing my face.

I was praying
he wasn't destructive.

Like, I'm still in shock.

I still don't believe
that all this happened.

I found out from another source that
Doug was cheating on me,

and they seen him
with another girl.

I'm a BLEEP idiot, legit.
- You're not.

I'm 35 years old,
and here I am believing stories,

like Santa and BLEEP
all over again.

So this guy's been
working chicks his whole life.

And I was just another one
of the numbers.

Was I not good enough?

BLEEP I don't know.
I don't know.

Like, I gave him everything,
and I did everything.

Stop a minute.

And... why?

Bologna doesn't belong
in the cupboard.

Oh, did I do... BLEEP.
Did I do that?

Crap. I did do that.

Let's go have a smoke and...

OK.
- Take a breather.

I hate bologna. No lie.

Doug's true colours are...

CHUCKLES

..very black.

He just thought he had it made.

Had a wife
that wouldn't question him.

And he's basically
crapped out of all of us.

He tried selling himself
to all of us.

Yeah, he told me that, too,
when he was in prison,

that people looked at him
like a used-car salesman.

And I said to him, I said,

"Don't you want to be
a new-car salesman?"

And inmates were right. Con man.

When his sister said
what she said to me,

that her brother was a dog
and he's a liar and a user

and he'll cheat on you
as soon as he can,

gosh, she... she told it
like it was.

And I should have BLEEP ran then.

My own fault for believing
in a fairy tale.

You loved him.

I bought into all the lies,
I bought into the stories,

I bought into the fantasy,

I bought into his infinite
amount of stupid tattoos

and what other little ways
that he would try to show tokens

of his affection or dedication,
or fake loyalty towards me.

I was creating my own love story
off of what I thought was real.

That's... That's the hardest part,

knowing that I never had
a relationship,

I never had a marriage,
he never gave it a chance.

Yeah, without a doubt in my mind,
he had no feelings for me.

SIGHS
Poor little Dougie.

He's had to go through
so much with his dad.

And now this.

Where are they?

They left.
They went back to Kalamazoo.

Living in a camper
in his, uh, sister's backyard.

RACHEL: I am definitely open
to the opportunity

of taking custody of Dougie.

I would love to have him
if that's what he wanted

and what his family agrees to,

what would be in his best interest.

But I would definitely,

definitely accept Douglas
as my... my child.

Are you gonna get in touch,
then, with the lawyer?

Yeah, absolutely. Yep. Yep.

Things are gonna move fast.

Cut the ties and never look back.

He has no access to the money.

He doesn't?

No, he was never on
my bank account.

Oh, good.

The only loss I have
right now is just

I got my heart BLEEP ripped out
and broken, and that's it.

So I have... that's the only
thing that got took from me.

DOUG: A lot of people's concerns
getting out of prison

is, like, settling down
right away.

You hear guys in prison say,
"When I get out,

"I'm not settling down right away,"

because they feel like
they've missed out on something.

They need to get it out
of their system, so to say.

I thought I was ready to be
a husband for Rachel...

Hey, baby.
Ooh!

Oh, I love you.
- Love you.

Home sweet home.
- Yes, we are.

Don't hit our heads.

And a father
and a role model for Dougie.

Hey. I get a hug?
I don't get a punch?

If you had the option
to go back in time

and change the choices
you made, would you?

I would have done something
different.

At least you're here now.

DOUG: But it's a huge change,

and there was no way in hell
I was ready for it.

I'm not worried at all
about being reincarcerated.

I don't plan on
breaking the law.

I know what needs to be done,

and I enjoy what I have
and I don't plan on losing it.

I'm not being somebody's
meal ticket no more.

I would never take Doug back
under any circumstances,

because I know that
he'll never change.

If Doug was watching this
right now,

I would say that you
successfully broke my heart.

You made me look stupid.

Hopefully, one day,
life gets put together for you

and you... you can be out here

and understand
what freedom's all about.

Maybe I should date
an accountant, you know?

They seem like they've got
something going on,

put together, good with money.

Maybe more stable behaviour.

Less rambunctious.

I would never date
another convict again

as long as my life
depends on it.

I am retired.

CELLPHONE RINGS

DOUG: Me and Rachel broke up
for, um, a few reasons.

Well, I wasn't ready, I guess,

to be committed to Rachel
or be with her,

cos I still had feelings
for someone else.

So the person was from
so long ago, never left me.

And the desire for the other
person was always in there,

and it grew,
and we never actually had a chance

to live our life out together,

due to the fact of
my incarcerations in the past.

So it's not that me and Rachel
didn't have something.

But it just didn't trump
what I have with this woman.

When I started writing Rachel
in prison,

it was strictly to pass time.

I mean, she has good conversation,
she's funny.

I figured, hey, you know,
I give everybody a chance.

I didn't know it was going to
lead to where it went.

I wish Rachel the best.

We all deserve our slice of
happiness, whatever that may be.

I wish whatever she's got
going on works for her,

and I, um, put forth my best
effort for what I got going,

and hopefully it works for me.
