are growing fast.

The dry season is taking hold.

As the season changes,

the older brothers
have changed, too.

Djodjo and Ukingo are now
mighty 300-pound males.

Childhood games now turn
to sparring matches.

Kio is now 18 months old.

And he's keen to put
his skills to the test.

[squeal]

This warthog is just too fast.

But Kio's hunting
instincts are growing.

And there are plenty
more chances on the way.

[grunt]

With the arrival
of the wet season,

the plains transform
and the herds return.

[braying]

[grunting]

It's time for Summer to teach
them all how it's done.

A lone buffalo.

[insects buzzing]

[grunting]

Lesson one, stealth.

Lesson two, patience.

Lesson three,

become invisible.

Now with the buffalo
on the run,

it's time for the brothers
to try for themselves.

[snorting]

One by one,
they each make their move.

They just don't have
the strength on their own,

even Ukingo.

They need to work as a team.

It's not enough.

They still need Summer.

But with every hunt
comes risk.

Summer is down.

All Kio can do
is offer her comfort...

his brave mother.

But she is 16 years old.

And no longer
the force she once was.

what strength she can.

his mother by his side.

a force to be reckoned with.

to drive the hyenas away.
