In a house fire… In a house fire…
In a house fire…
Last night, a 46-year-old man
died in a house fire in Bergen aan Zee.
After one of the family's children,
an 11-year-old boy, alerted the neighbors,
emergency services were called
to the scene.
Only in the early morning hours
were the firefighters
able to finally contain the blaze.
A 40-year-old woman
and a seven-year-old boy
have been taken to the hospital.
No information has been released
on the condition of the victims.
The police are investigating any
potential leads they have at this time.
According to the authorities,
it is impossible to determine
whether this was an accident or arson,
leaving many in the village to speculate
as to what could have caused this.
[machine beeps]
Local residents
of this tight-knit community are shaken.
We have spoken to a few of them,
who have said that they hope
the police find the ones responsible
for this heinous crime.
