I started early in life
to show a discipline

I discovered CrossFit by chance in Turin
and it was love at first sight.
In September of 2021,
I was unfortunately diagnosed
with rheumatoid arthritis,
which is an autoimmune disease
that affects the joints,
{\an8}and in my case it affected my hands
and my wrists and my feet.
The pain from this disease
was excruciating.
I could barely do anything
that I used to do.
The first thing that I was told
is I should forget about sports entirely.

Well-- And this is just the way that I am.
If you tell me that I can't do something,
I'll do everything and anything
to prove you wrong.
I started to work with a rheumatologist,
and the first thing I made clear was,
"Give me anything
that won't be problematic
or get me disqualified in competitions."
Fingers crossed,
everything is working out just great.
I wanna set an example
and to give hope
to everyone who has this disease
and who, because of it,
may not be able to do what they love.
