leaving it in ruins,
completely destroying the floor.

During this next challenge,

you and your team
must first rebuild the drawbridge.

And then carry as much sand as you can

and pour it
inside the load-bearing columns.

{\an8}Your group will have to rely
on their strength, endurance,

{\an8}but most importantly teamwork,
in order to complete the challenge.

You have 12 minutes to complete this task.

The team who manages
to build their drawbridge

and transport the most sand
into their pillars,

will move on to the next challenge.

[ominous music playing]

[Valentina] This challenge
is in my wheelhouse.

It's about hard work and strength.

I'm happy I don't have to use
my brain too much. Thank God!

[Ancient God] Athletes, each team
will be given one minute to strategize

before the challenge officially begins.

{\an8}-[Filippo] Gaggi will build our bridge.
-[Gaggi] Let me explain my strategy.

At the entrance,
I want you guys start with the bags

and we'll carry the planks, got it?

I'm trying to take a laid-back approach
as the leader, and the reason is,

a stressful environment is helpful.

aka B-boy Bad Matty.

{\an8}I'm 24 and I'm a breakdancer.

When I was 11 years old,
I decided to take a breakdancing class.

And as soon as it was over,

I quit playing soccer
with the Milan youth team

'cause I had found my passion.

I was really shy when I was a kid.

But breakdancing was the key
to getting me out of my shell.

Now I've got ladies
lining up to talk to me.

-But I'm currently single.

I've been both the European
and World breakdancing champion.

I was the Italian champion several times,
but by far my proudest achievement

was being the first and only Italian
breakdancer to compete in the Olympics.

While I'm dancing, I feel at my most free.

When I'm mid-air, or spinning,

I just get that
overwhelming sense of freedom.

But dancing comes with a lot of training
and with that, there's a lot of sacrifice.

It's similar to
artistic gymnastics that way.

One thing I tell all my opponents is,

Never underestimate me,
you have no idea what's in store for you.

[Daniele] I'm happy with how
the team performed today

but there's a part of me also wondering,
"Did we waste too much time?"

"Did they get that one bag of sand
more than us

that makes all the difference?"

[Filippo] Everyone gave it their all
and I'm proud if the group.

I think we did enough to win and move on.

[music intensifies]

I thought we really
came together as a team.

It was a strong effort from everybody.

There's a sense of payback for me
because Pici flat out rejected me.

So I feel pretty good about this,
I'm elated.

but I was really happy with the team.

We put it all on the line

[Filippo] I'm really sorry
it didn't go our way today.

On a scale of one to ten,

I'd say I'm about a billion
in terms of disappointed.

Maybe a couple billion actually.

We were a great team.

[Sara] I was really close with my father.

for me to talk about him.

{\an8}It's just been over a year since he died,
April 2nd.

I loved him so much
and I never really told him.

My dad was a very sporty guy.

I followed in his footsteps

and became obsessed
with rhythmic gymnastics.

I started training
when I was three and a half

and never really looked back
because I kept it up until I was 21.

My proudest moment

was definitely winning
an Italian championship at 20 years old.

I love everything about competing,

the adrenaline, even the physical fatigue
that comes along with the success

just adds to the whole vibe.

I joined Physical because
I enjoy pushing myself to new limits.

I'm so competitive that a couple times,

I even ended up in the hospital
'cause I pushed so hard to win.

So yeah, I'm competitive.

of the competitors on my team

would do directly against them
if they went one on one.

Which is made up primarily of women.

It was definitely
a very deliberate choice.

I learned from experience

is the physically stronger team
isn't always the winning one.

Strategy and team unity
are way more important in the long run.

Team Masella and Team Biviano.

None of the other teams
chose to compete against us

{\an8}and I think that's a clear sign
that they're afraid of what we can do.

{\an8}We're excited. We're a well-rounded team
and I think we're gonna win this one.

because it's the foundation
of the whole challenge.

It needs to be done right.

Right off the bat, I want us all
to go down to carry the planks

and leave them all right at the front.

I have a background in construction

so I immediately speak up
and I put a plan in motion.

I want three or four boards at the back,
add them one by one.

I'm the team captain,
but Matteo also has strong instincts

and it felt right to let him speak up
and share his knowledge and experience

with the rest of the team.

I didn't expect us to lose.

But I think the thing that
really doesn't sit well with me

is that Minguzzi challenged a team

I think it's kind of an unwritten rule

that we should be
trying to support each other.

I know I wouldn't have been gloating
as much as they did,

had we won the challenge.

Like, I get applauding and being happy

but it kinda felt like they were
rubbing it in our faces a little bit.

It was too much, if you ask me.
