(Peppa): Jumping stick!

(narrator): Today, it is raining at Peppa and George's house.

(doorbell ringing)

- Package for you, Daddy Pig.

(whispering): Ah, thank you, Mr. Zebra.

- What have you bought off the internet this time, Daddy Pig?

- I-I don't know.

It could be a... (fanfare) Ah!

- What's that? - It's a jumping stick.

(Mummy Pig sighing) - Yes!

I thought it might be fun!

- You've got a lot of fun things already in the cupboard, Daddy Pig.

- Ah, but this was the best kind of fun when I was a little piggy.

I remember bouncing around for hours on one of these.

- How does it work? - I'll show you.

- I think jumping sticks are an outside toy, Daddy Pig. (chuckling)

- Don't worry, Mummy Pig. I'm a bit of an expert at this.

Ha-ha! See? Oops!

(crash!) - Daddy Pig?!

- Perhaps the jumping stick is an outside toy.

Once you find your balance,

it's the most fun thing in the world!

You see? Easy as pie. (exclaiming)

(crash!) - Oh!

- Hmm. Not quite as much fun as I remembered.

- Oh, poor Daddy Pig. Are you alright?

- I'm fine. But I think there's something wrong with this jumping stick.

- No, no, I think it's working fine.

- Can I have a go, Mummy? (snorting) - Okay.

But maybe you should wear your cycle helmet, too.

(giggling)

- Ah! It's impossible!

- Hmm. The ground is too soft.

- No, no. The ground is fine. (George snorting and giggling)

(narrator): George wants a go on the jumping stick.

- I think you're too little, George.

But you can try if you wear a helmet.

(giggling)

- Here. Let me help you.

- Oh. - Yes, George,

you are too little for jumping sticks.

- Oh, I think jumping sticks are for big boys and girls.

- Like me! I'm a big girl!

- Well... Peppa, I--

- Mummy, Daddy, George, you can go now.

I am going to learn the jumping stick.

- Okay, but just be careful.

(bell ringing)

(narrator): Pedro Pony, Danny Dog and Suzy Sheep are here.

- Hello, Peppa. What's that?

- It's called a jumping stick! (others): Ooh!

- What do you do with it?

- You stand on it and jump!

- Why? - Because my daddy said it was fun.

- Go on, then. - It is very hard to do it.

You need to practise a lot.

- It gets more fun if you do more bounces.

I can bounce on my super space hopper!

It's the same as your jumping stick, really.

- But you stand up on that.

- Yes, but they are both good at bouncing. (giggling)

- Have another go, Peppa. - Okay!

- Peppa, are you alright? - Yes, Mummy.

But maybe I'm not big enough for the jumping stick yet.

(chuckling) - At least you gave it a try.

- Shall I put it in the cupboard now?

- Uh, no, no. I want another go, please.

(laughter) - Don't be sad, Peppa.

The jumping stick is not easy.

- I'm not sad, Daddy,

because I know a really fun way of jumping!

And you don't need to practise it!

Jumping up and down in muddy puddles! (laughing)

(narrator): The jumping stick is fun for big boys and girls,

but muddy-puddle jumping is fun for everyone! (laughter)

(Peppa): Racquet Games! (narrator): Today,

Peppa and Suzy have come to the Tennis Club for a tennis lesson.

(laughter) Peppa's friends are already here!

- Hello! - Hello, everybody. (kids): Hello, Peppa, Suzy!

- We'll just be at the Tennis Club cafe.

(both): See you later. (kids): Bye!

- Your serve, Mrs. Corgi!

(narrator): Mr. Stallion and Mrs. Corgi are also playing tennis.

- Ha! - Ah!

(exclaiming)

(exclaiming) - Ha! -love!

- Ace backhand, Mrs. Corgi.

- What are they talking about?

- That's tennis talk, Peppa.

- What does it mean?

- It's a bit complicated.

Let's just try and get the ball over the net first.

(kids giggling)

- Can we kick the ball like in football?

(narrator): Danny Dog likes football.

- No, Danny. In tennis, we don't kick the ball.

- Can we throw the ball over the net?

- No, Mandy. That's not how we play tennis.

- I know. You hit the ball with this.

- That's right, Suzy!

You hit the ball with a racquet, like this!

(all): Oh!

- Everyone, get yourself a racquet and have a go.

(laughter)

- Ah!

This is impossible!

(narrator): It is not easy to hit a tennis ball with a tennis racquet.

- Try bouncing the ball before you hit it.

(gasping) - I hit the ball! - That's right!

(laughter)

Give it a good whack!

- Ah!

Miss Rabbit, I think my ball has gone into space.

- No problem. There are lots of tennis ba*ls here. (laughter)

- Yes!

(narrator): Freddy Fox has hit his tennis ball into a nest!

- Ah! Oh!

(quacking) (narrator): Peppa has hit her ball into the pond!

(laughing) (bleating)

- Ah... it's so relaxing here.

(screaming)

(narrator): Suzy has hit her ball into the Tennis Club cafe!

- Oh, all the ba*ls have gone.

- Yeah, I thought might happen.

- Where do we get more tennis ba*ls?

- My dad sells tennis ba*ls in packs of six.

- Yes, thank you, Freddy. But maybe we should pick up the ba*ls you hit first.

You can use these, uh, tubes to pick up the tennis ba*ls. Want to see?

(narrator): It is fun picking up tennis ba*ls with a tube.

We started playing tennis, but this is easier.

(all): Mm! - Everybody loves racquet games.

(narrator): Peppa and her family are going on holiday today. (laughter)

(kids): Ooh! - What's this, Daddy Pig?

(gasping) - It's a little shed on wheels!

(laughing) - This is an adventure caravan for our holiday.

- Oh. It's very near to our house for a holiday.

- h*-h*! We're not staying here, Peppa.

We take the caravan wherever we want to go.

- Ooh! (kids giggling)

- Now, is everybody ready? (others): Yes, Daddy Pig!

- Then let's go! (honking)

It's made of plastic. But it is very, very big.

But it doesn't do anything.

- It is a bit hilly here.

(narrator): Peppa and her family are driving higher and higher.

- I think we've driven up into the clouds!

(kids): Ooh!

- Maybe we should stop? - Of course.

We can stop and spend the night anywhere we like.

- I can't see anything.

- The caravan is here... somewhere.

There! (laughter)

(Daddy exclaiming) (Peppa): Sorry, Mummy. (Mummy): Whoops!

- Let's have some Adventure Caravan soup for dinner!

(others): Hooray! - Thank you, Daddy Pig.

(clang!) - Oh.

(narrator): The Adventure Caravan is not very big inside.

(owl hooting)

- Mm! That soup was tasty! (yawning)

- Now we can all go to bed.

- Ah! Little beds!

- For little piggies.

- But where will you sleep?

- Aha. Watch this.

(narrator): The Adventure Caravan table turns into a bed!

- That's magic. (yawning)

(kids): Night-night! - Good night, everybody.

(narrator): It is morning. Peppa and George are on an Adventure Caravan holiday.

(exclamations) - Excuse me. Ah!

(thundering music) How did we get so high?!

(narrator): Daddy Pig does not like heights.

- Oh, what a lovely view.

This is the clifftop I wanted to visit. (kids): Ooh!

Shall we have breakfast outside?

- Yes, you do that.

I think I'll have my breakfast inside.

- Thank you, Mummy. (snorting) - Ah...

(squawking) Oh, it's so relaxing.

- Hello. - Ah! - I am Birgit Bear.

- I'm Peppa Pig! (snorting) Are you on holiday?

That's our caravan. (both): Hello!

- That's my mummy and daddy.

- Well, you have a think while we visit Daddy Pig's choice.

- It is a very special bit of concrete. (snorting)

(narrator): Daddy Pig likes concrete.

- My mummy loves concrete.

- Hmm... If only I had my concrete hammer.

- Oh, yes. You only really know a bit of concrete

when you hit it with a little hammer!

(narrator): Oh, dear! The caravan is not fixed to the car!

(honking) - Peppa, Peppa!

- Quick, Mummy!

It's getting away! (Mummy): Oh!

(Daddy Pig): I think it's slowing down.

- Oh. Whew.

(narrator): Daddy Bear has rescued the Adventure Caravan.

- Oh, thank you for saving our caravan.

- Mummy Pig, where did you find this little hammer?

- I found it there. And I was going to put it back.

(narrator): Mummy Pig forgot to put back the hammer pin.

(laughter)

- Where are you going now? - I don't know. I can't choose.

- We are going to a caravan park. Do you want to come?

(narrator): Everyone has arrived safely at the caravan park.

- Sorry, but everything is shut because of the rain.

(narrator): Grandpa Pig and Granddad Dog

are taking Peppa, George and Danny bowling.

- Grandpa, what is bowling?

- Well, Peppa, I can't really say.

I've never done it before.

This was all Granddad Dog's idea.

- Bowling is fun!

(barking, snorting)

(narrator): Everyone has to wear bowling shoes to go bowling.

What a lot of fuss for a little game.

Right. This is our lane.

Danny, can you show everyone how to bowl?

- Yes!

First, you take a ball.

- That's right.

And can everyone see the pins

at the end of the lane?

- Yes, we see the skittle things.

- I use this ball to knock those pins over.

- It's like magic!

- Bowling is actually quite fun!

- My goodness! They all fell over!

- Yes. That's called a strike!

- I'm really beginning to like bowling!

What's charming is how simple it is to play!

You just roll the ball,

and it knocks over the skittles!

(buzzing)

- Grandpa! You missed everything!

- Yes. But not to worry. It's only a game.

- That's the spirit, old chap!

Not everyone is good at games.

(giggling, thudding)

Oh! This is too heavy!

- Pick another one, Peppa!

- Ah. This is just right!

They all fell over!

- Yes, and that was the first time you ever bowled!

- Wonderful!

(George snorts) - Try this one, George.

(giggles)

- And for George, I think the ramp would be a good idea.

(giggles)

But how comes George gets that ramp thingy and I didn't?

- Because the ramp is for little children!

(giggles) - Yes, Grandpa.

George is little, but you are big.

- Yes. Of course.

(giggles)

- Strike! Well done, Danny!

- Brilliant!

I think that means we've all had a strike!

- Uh, apart from me.

- Oh yes! I'd forgotten you didn't hit any.

- Have another go, Grandpa! (snorts)

But I can tell this is really not my sort of thing.

- But I suppose what matters is not the winning,

but taking part.
