[Ava] Even though I'm really sick,
there's no going back.

-[Jeff] Let the bad juju out.

-Let's go, clear it up.
-[Gabrielle] You got this, Ava!

[Ava] Bryce and Everett
are looking really strong,

but I'm pushing myself
until I cannot be pushed anymore.

Girl power, baby!

-You a dog, Ava!
-Let's go, Ava!

[Nick] Wonka's a savage.

I just lost my partner, Jason.

I have to outlast one person
at the very least.

Like, as long as
I'm not the first one to lose,

then at least I'm safe.

[twister whirring]

[Ray] Hey, Jackson…

[tense music builds]

…I'm about to say I'm sorry.

-Stay straight, Poppy.
-[Ray] No.

-[Ziad clapping] Poppy! Let's go, Poppy!
-I'm gonna be honest, fellas…

Three million dollars, Nick!

[Ray groans]

[music intensifies]

[Ray] Stop. Stop. Stop.

-[machine winding down]
-[Ray groaning]

[buzzer blares]

[machine grinding and hissing]

-[Ray exhales deeply]
-[Austin] Great job!

-[Gabrielle] Yeah, Poppy!
-[cheering and applause]

[Gabrielle] Good job, Poppy.

[Jackson] I'm so proud of this man.

He's going out here and giving it his all.

[Willy Wonka] Ray,
as the first person to quit,

you are up for termination.

Oh man.

[Jackson] I mean, he's my best friend,
and I'd be really sad if I lost him.

-[Ray] I know.
-[James] Stop.

[announcer] Reversing licorice production.

-[all exclaiming]
-[Ray] Here we go.

[machine whirring]

Y'all are doing great! Keep it up!

[Nick] There's no way I can outcompete
Bryce and Everett.

And Ava threw up,
and she's still in there pushing.

She's wild.

Stop. Stop. Stop.

[machine slowing down]

[James] Oh.

[buzzer blares]

Good work, Nick.

-Yeah. Good job, Nick.
-[Garrison] Good job, brother.

[Ray] I love you.

-[Garrison] Good work, Nick!
-[Bill] Hang on there, Nick.

[machine clangs to life]

That was crazy.

[all applauding]

I just had to outlast one person.

[buzzer blares]

[announcer] Reversing licorice production.

-[Kayla] There you go. Now you can reset.
-[James] Other way!

[Willy Wonka] Three left.
Who will be next to take a wrong turn?

Great job, Everett. Here we go!

[Austin] She's an absolute beast for that.

Ava's on a cloud. Come on, Ava!

[Jeff] Ava has always been
Daddy's little girl.

But, here at Wonka's factory,

she's proving that
she can do anything on her own.

And this gives Ava a chance to show

what she's made out of.

Just getting started, Ava!

-[music intensifies]
-[buzzer blares]

Increasing licorice production.

[James] This is where it gets fun.

-[Gabrielle] Breathe!
-Ava, here we go.

[James] Let's go. Let's go.
Great job, Everett.

[licorice plopping]

[buzzer blares]

[Bryce] What the hell? It feels like
I'm going faster and faster. What the…?

Just focus on your breathing.

-Find your grip.
-[Bryce huffing]

[music intensifies]

I thought I was a tough cowboy,

but I'm surprised Ava and Everett
were staying on for so long.

[Bryce groans]

-[Ziad] Tight core! Breathe!
-[Gabrielle] Squeeze your glutes!

[Bryce cries out]

[yells] Bryce, you got this!

[Bryce] I'm here on a mission
for the lifetime supply of money,

but I'm just seeing colors
as I'm spinning.

[Garrison] There you go!
Yeah, oh! Come on, Bryce!

-[Gabrielle] Bryce!

-[Bryce yells]
-[machine winding down]

[all applauding]

-[Taylor] It's okay, Bryce!
-[Bryce groaning]

-[Ray] Sit down.
-Oh, awesome job, Bryce.

-[buzzer blares]
-[announcer] Reversing production.

-Why are we…? Oh no, no.
-[Jeff] Here we go.

[Willy Wonka] Three twisters down,
two to go.

The person who stays on the longest
will receive an advantage.

[Kellye] You got it, Everett.

[Everett] Would I rather be totally safe?

And win this?

I think I might have
an upper hand in this,

because I do have
a little bit of dance background.

So I have a good balance.

-You look so strong.
-You got it, Everett.

Is this gonna make me a threat
if I win this?

I want to win this challenge.

But in Wonka's factory,

every advantage has
some sort of consequence

that impacts the game.

That makes me nervous.

Let's go, Everett! Go, Everett!

Get the body straight up, babe. That's it.

-[Gabrielle] That's the spirit!
-[James] Not a problem. Let's go.

-[Jeff] Come on!
-[Everett] Okay.

[James] In knowing Everett for 35 years,

he's gonna hang on
as long as he possibly can.

-[Gabrielle] Yeah, guys!
-[Ziad] Three million dollars!

[James] But looking at Ava,
I am so… so impressed by her.

She is so determined,
and she's here to win.

[Jeff] Ava, get in the middle of the roll.

-[Kayla] Squeeze. You got it.
-[Jeff] Come on, Ava. Fight it.

-You're a fighter. Hip up. Come on.
-[Kayla] Ava! You got it!

-[Garrison] Stay there!
-You're almost there, Everett.

[Jeff] Ava, pull it back. Get straight up.

Try to pull your body straight up.

-[loud cheering]

-[Gabrielle] Squeeze, Ava! Squeeze!
-[Garrison] Go for it!

[Joanne] Dig hard!

[Jeff] I know you're trying.

-[all gasp]

-[machine hisses]

[cheering and applause]

[announcer] Licorice production completed.

[Ava weakly] Oh man.

-[Jeff] You okay?
-[Ava groans weakly]

[Jeff] Take a few deep breaths.

Don't move until you can get straight up.

[Marcy] Ava, you are a rock star.

-[Ray] You show-off.
-[Everett groans]

Oh. You're… you're a beast, bro.

[Ray chuckles]

[James] I'm blown away.
I'm so proud of Everett for winning.

I think he showed everyone else
really what he's capable of.

And now they know what I know,

which is that he can win
this entire experience.

[microphone static]

[Willy Wonka] Ray, unfortunately,
you were first off the plate

and are up for termination.

I know.

Everett, you are the winner.

[all cheering and applauding]

[Ray] Yeah, baby.

[Willy Wonka] As the victor,
your tour will continue.

And you've earned my twisted advantage.

-Oh, it's a tasty one.
-[Marcy] Oh.

Everett, you must choose between
Nick, Bryce, or Ava…

-Oh, shut up.
-…to go against Ray for tour termination.

-[all exclaiming]
-[Bill] Oh.

Oh my… 'Cause it wasn't bad enough
what he just had to do.

[tense music playing]

[Everett] This is why I was scared to win.

Now I have to make a decision
that impacts the game.

Should I nominate a threat like Ava?

Or do I wanna put up Nick?

Because he doesn't have
a partner here anymore

who's gonna get revenge on me
if he gets terminated.

If I make one mistake,

it could come around
and bite me in the butt.

[music swells]

For me right now,

I think the fairest thing to do…

[music intensifies]

…is to put up
the second person who went out.

[resonant bass hum]

It's Nick.

[dramatic sting]

That feels the most fair right now to me.

[tense music playing]

[Nick] I guess you could say
Everett did the fair thing.

I mean, I'm an easy target.

I don't have a partner that's still here
that's gonna come back at him

if I get terminated.

[Willy Wonka] Nick and Ray,
one of you will leave the tour.

You can count on it.

This is what hard work looks like.

You must now try to estimate
how many individual licorice twists

you all produced.

The future of your tour depends on it.

[Gabrielle] Oh wow.

[Jeff] Oh my God,
that's a lot of licorice.

[Willy Wonka] The closest guess survives.

The loser is terminated.

[all exclaiming]

-[Ray] Oh my God
-[Ava] Um…

[Gabrielle] That's gonna be hard to guess.

Oh, we're guessing a number.

[Taylor] Yeah.

[NIck] I've been in a lot of situations

where I had to guess how many candies
are in a jar or whatever

and you win a prize,

and I'm always way off.

So this time,
I'm not gonna guess over the top.

[Jeff] Look at Nick.

Nick is doing it.
He's doing the math right now.

[Kayla] Yes, he is.

I am just praying
that Nick gets this wrong.

[rapid ticking]

I already got rid of Jason,

and if you can't be trusted,

you don't deserve to be here.

[Nick] Smells good.

That does smell good, doesn't it?
[chuckling]

[tense music continues]

[Ray] Oh my goodness gracious.

This is very, very stressful.

[Ray] I trust my grandson.

Jackson is always right
about this kind of thing.

All I can do is put a number down
and hope that he's right.

[all applauding]

[emotional uplifting music playing]

-I'm really trying for the girls.
-That was amazing.

everybody's respect in here forever.

[Ava] Even though I didn't win,

Wonka's ignited the competitive fire
in me.

So whoever I'm up against next
better be scared.

It is such a weird feeling to win.

[Everett] In Wonka's factory,
every decision you make

has some sort of consequence.

And so I'm thinking

about every micro action
that I'm taking in here.

I actually was trying not to win at first.

-[insect buzzing]
-That was my… first thought.

Like, I don't wanna win this.
I don't want the responsibility.

The major thing here
that it's testing for me is,

I wanna fly under the radar.

But I feel responsible for sending home
Nick and Moon.

-[coin drops, echoes]
-And so, I'm really trying to stay

out of that firing line
as much as possible.

I was supposed to be trying
to play the middle right now.

And we've just been, like,

front and center of everything.

And this was not my strategy.

I'm a little frustrated

'cause Everett and I are taking
this experience differently.

He's an overthinker,
whereas I'm embracing this experience.

The pattern in this has been
that people have embraced each other,

have hugged each other,
have supported each other.

As a human resources person,
I look for a silver lining in things.

I'm trying to look at the glass half full.

I'm moving away from a game with strategy.

And I'm making friends,
making connections with people.

And I don't need to stress about it.

[Ziad] You got the gold key.

[James] Also, I have the golden key
I got during Wheel of Misfortune.

I'm still trying to figure out
what it means and what it'll be used for.

It's a key, which means that
you're opening something for someone else.

I don't think
you're gonna be in harm personally.

-[Gabrielle] Yeah.

These are the keys to the factory.

[bat shrieking]

half-baked ideas are born."

I've been called to the half-office.

Curious about
what crazy adventure is next.

[indistinct chatter]

[whimsical music continues]

He's always very suspicious.

[James] Winning is key
in the Wheel of Misfortune.

Every logical part of my brain understands
that it won't be good.

But a little part of me hopes
that it's not too bad.

[horn blares]

But it's Wonka.

[James exhales deeply] Thank you.

-[key rattling]
-[lock clicks]

[exhales deeply]

[faint whooshing]

[faint whirring]

[clock strikes]

[clock ticking]

[door slams shut]

[exhales] Okay.

I get it, half-office.
There's half of everything.

A little odd.

But so is everything here.

[music builds]

"Termination contract."

"As the recipient of the key
from Wheel of Misfortune…

[clinking]

…you have been selected for termination."

[tense music playing]

[exhales deeply]

"However, you may nominate
a different guest

to be terminated in your place."

-[microphone static]
-[Willy Wonka] James…

First write the name of the person
you want to nominate

on the other half
of the termination contract.

[James sighs]

Then hand the key to another guest

who must sign under the name
of who they want to terminate.

[James] Mm-hm.

That guest will pass the key
to another guest to sign,

until one of you receives ten signatures.

[James sighs, chuckles]

[softly] Okay.

Whoever gets ten signatures first
will be terminated from the tour.

[chuckles softly]

I get it.

[Jeff] I… I think we're gonna find out
what the key means tonight.

[Everett] I hope so.

[James chuckles]

And, James, secrecy may do you well.
It's up to you who you tell.

[James] I understand. I will do it.

[tense music builds]

[James] I could play this game dirty

and only give the key
to people I connect with,

so there's a guarantee that I stay.

But I'm here to play fair.

[metal clinking]

I hope that the person that I've nominated
will play a fair game too.

[door creaks and hisses open]

[Indistinct chatter and laughter]

Wonka had a crazy adventure for me.

-[Everett] Did I hear my name?
-[James] Yeah. Come talk to me.

[Everett] Yeah, is everything okay?

Welcome back.

Thank you. I don't know that it's
such a great thing, but thank you.

-[Hunter] All right.
-Can I borrow you and you?

-Yes.
-[James] Can we go chat in the pantry?

[Jeff] Okay, sure.

[tense music playing]

[door creaking]

[Ava] Oh no. Oh no.

So, the key is an invitation
to Wonka's half-office.

In there is a termination contract…

-[Jeff] Mm-hm.
-…with my name on it.

I have to put someone else's name
on the other side.

[Jeff] Do you know who that is?

[tense music swells]

Jeff, I put your name.

Because I saw the two of you today
in the previous challenge,

and you were so good and so strong.

And whether you or I leave,

I think either of you would be good
to stand on your own.

-I want to stay. I want to stay with her.
-[James] Yeah, of course.

The first one to get ten signatures
has to leave.

I'm gonna give the key to Everett.

He's gonna go first. You can go second.

-[Ava] In terms of signing.
-Right.

So, at least each of us
has one signature to start.

[metal clangs]

[Everett] Okay.

It's a bold move to try and break up
Ava and Jeff.

I think there's, you know,

potential that maybe Jeff
hasn't built as many relationships,

and this is a game of alliances.

I've ever seen.

nobody will know how anyone else voted.

[Everett] I hate magic.

And finally, you must hand the key
to the next guest you wish to sign.

[Everett] Great.

[handle rattles]

All I can do is respect
my brother's choice here,

but I'm wondering if he's made a mistake

in telling Ava and Jeff
who he's nominated.

I know that Ava is strong.

She will fight hard for more power here.

So I'm a little worried.

So this is my opportunity
to do whatever it takes to save my dad.

-[Gabrielle] What just happened?

and I have to obviously rally
and work so hard

because my dad wants to stay here so bad.

I want him in here so bad.

It's my dad over anyone.

So what determines
where Everett gives the…

Whoever he… Well, I have asked him.

Every time you get the key,
it's up to you.

Okay.

But I have asked him
to give it to Ava next.

I see this as the right thing to do,
to give Ava a chance to save her dad.

I'm a man of my word.

[keys chiming]

It's pretty obvious
that the best strategy to win

is take control of the key.

So I'm just doing a lot of facilitating.

[James] I feel Ava is telling people

Ava is fighting hard for her dad.

She's acting like
she's a bouncer at the club

and deciding who gets to go in
and who doesn't.

Am I trying to campaign for you right now?

I don't wanna campaign.

I'd be happy to campaign for James,
but he's told me not to,

and I don't know
if that's the best strategy.

He wants to play this game with integrity,
so for James's benefit,

I'm hopeful that
people will care more about character

instead of Ava's aggressive strategy.

It's a very difficult…

Looking at the two names,
I have a tough decision.

I already have a good friendship with Ava,

but she's being a little aggressive.

I have a great connection with James.

For many of us,
it just makes it really hard.

I… I care so much about
your brother and you.

It's tough, you know?

There's James, who I've grown
so close with, him and his brother,

and it's just, like…

It feels like a betrayal to send him home.

But at the same time,
there's Ava and Jeff.

I asked him to give the key
to Jackson after

because I trust and hope
that you're someone

that will want my dad here
'cause my dad also wants you guys here.

[Ray] Yeah.

There's an advancement in the game,
perhaps, with Jeff and Ava,

who, you know,
are gonna be on Poppy and I's side

because I gave my coin to them day one.

This decision right now is something
that I've been really conflicted on,

and, you know, it's rough.

[Ray] Ava got really, really aggressive,

and James is just a great guy.

I have voted for Jeff simply 'cause
I've gotten to know James better.

[pen scratching]

-So when Poppy comes back, you can go.

Ava has taken control of this entire game

a super strategic player, just like me.

This is really tough.

[system powers on]

That's a tough way to go.

This wonderfully wacky world of Wonka
is twisted.

I realize I did it to myself.

You need to play the game to win.

But through it all, I've really grown
a lot closer with my brother,

and for that, I'm grateful.

[Willy Wonka] Please give James
his belongings.

[James chuckling]

and then slide down to the pumps

where they can extract the honey
from the sweetener's cell.

Once all the honey is pumped out,

the sweetener is freed from the honeycomb
and can slide to safety.

The team that extracts
the most sweeteners in 30 minutes

will be the winners
and is safe from termination.
