CHRIS:
We're here in Central America,

in the lowland
tropical rainforest.

Hi, it's us, the Kratt Brothers.

I'm Chris.

And I'm Martin.

And we are hiking through

one of the most incredible
habitats on planet Earth:

the lowland tropical rainforest.

And one thing you notice right
away is how green it is here.

There are trees and plants of
all different shapes and sizes.

And it's all
very green, green, green.

But every now and then, you come
across a splash of color,

like this rainforest flower,
the heliconia.

And its color
is really important.

With that eye-catching red,
it's saying:

"Hey, over here!
I've got sugary nectar!"

And the hummingbird listens!

Wow.

This is
a Rufous-tailed hummingbird,

a new creature
for our Life List.

And look at the way
this hummingbird flies.

What a primo Creature Power.

He hovers, moving up, down,
right, left, back and forth.

Few birds can fly like that.

Yeah, other birds
would have to perch.

But a hummingbird can go
wherever he wants by hovering.

He can get to any flower,
anywhere in the jungle.

Can you even see his wings move?

They're beating so fast,
they're like a blur!

He's like a little helicopter,
how he can move anywhere.

Whoa, did you see that spin?

Yeah!

He did a !

That was awesome.

Total control, look at that.

He is loving that nectar, huh?
Yeah.

With that kind of flying,
he needs a lot of energy.

So, he keeps drinking
from these flowers.

Imagine if we could fly
like a hummingbird,

then we could explore
anywhere in the rainforest.

Imagine if we had
hummingbird powers!
