Welcome to "Big Brother ."

It is day in the "Big Brother" house

and it's already been an emotional roller coaster ride.

On move in day, six of the house guests

discovered that they would be spending the summer

with a rival, enemy, or someone with whom

they have unfinished business.

d*ck has tried to reach out to his estranged

daughter, Danielle, but she is not ready to talk.

After a volatile week, ex-boyfriends, Dustin and Joe,

are trying to be civil, but will it last?

A while Jessica is being nice to Carol's face,

she couldn't be happier that her former best friend forever is

already on the chopping block.

Also nominated for eviction is Amber, the c*ck

waitress from Las Vegas, who's been turning

to her faith for support.

Tonight, one of these two will walk out the door empty handed.

Their dream of winning the $, grand prize

gone forever.

But first, as the first Head of Household,

Kail's choice of nominees was designed to make

the fewest waves in the house.

But nominations are never easy.

There's been a whirlwind of debate

these past few days as to who should stay and who should go.

This is our very first veto meeting.

Some of you might be surprised--

my decision not to use the power of veto

and to keep the nominations the same.

And this veto ceremony is adjourned.

I think I have a few supporters in the house.

Basically, all I can do, at this point,

is just try and pretend like I'm not bothered,

and try to keep the friends that I have,

and let them know that I want to say, and I need their help.

Are you OK?

Yeah.

I'm not here for myself, I'm here for my family.

That's why I will fight, as hard as I can,

to be here, because I love my family so much.

I love Amber and I know that I can trust Amber.

Out of anybody in the house, I know that I can trust Amber

more than anyone but Danielle.

I just need to tell you, I came into this game-- like,

I was like, I'm going to be that shut

down person that doesn't talk to anybody because I don't--

I have trust issues and I don't trust people.

And you're the only person that I had that with right away.

I didn't expect this to happen.

It's so nice to have someone to turn to.

I don't think it will be a problem.

I think I have more votes than Carol does.

We'll have to see how these next two days go.

I really feel confident.

I think I'm safe.

It makes it seem like that's a better person to have here.

Pretty much the only people I think I don't have

are Dustin, d*ck, and Jessica.

I'm really just trying to get out there, and let

people see who I am, and know that they

want to keep me around.

I gave up way too much at home to give up now.

It's not the right time for me to go home at all.

tear through this competition.

That's what I have been thinking about.

We just got into a fight, and never swallowed our prides,

and never apologized.

In the beginning, the thought did

cross my mind, one or two times, that we could

team up and run this house.

But then I just remembered, I don't trust her.

I don't trust her at all.

And then she got put up for eviction.

And I was like, problem solved.

Like, I think I'm a strong competitor.

I really think that I have not had the chance to show

what I'm capable of doing.

And like I'm not trying to be mean, but none of the females

strike me as being intelligent, whatsoever.

I think-- I really think we're true to each other.

Clearly Amber and Dustin are extremely close.

They are inseparable.

I don't know why we don't want to just

go ahead, and nip this in the bud, and separate it now.

Down the line, two people can be extremely strong together.

I've given up way too much to not stay.

I gave up school, I gave up my boyfriend, I have up my family.

Right.

Like, I can't go home yet.

the ones who can flip this whichever way we want.

The thing is, is if Carol goes, then that's the only chance I

If Carol is evicted tonight, then it is just her time to go

and it wasn't anything that I had to campaign for.

And that's just the way it's going to go.

toward Jessica right now?

Honestly, it's almost as if she's

just another house guest that I've not talked to or seen.

Because I remember the Jessica from middle school

and high school.

And it's not the same.

And is just completely different.

How has that been for you?

Kind of interesting.

It's-- I've had-- at least we're talking,

Luckily, everybody's been really nice and really caring

about it, so it's making it easier.

There has been some tension in the house between you

and your ex, Dustin.

I would say there was a little bit of tension

between my ex and myself--

And it's purely surface level, so--

Before he was a hard living, self-proclaimed fixture

on the LA music scene, d*ck was a single father, struggling

to raise two small children.

So why hasn't his daughter Danielle

spoken to him in two years?

When we come back, d*ck's mother and son tell all.

But first, the house guests are casting their votes to evict.

Nominees, Amber and Carol, are not allowed to vote.

Neither is Kail, the current Head of Household.

I would want to keep Amber in the house

because, right now, Amber is my alliance.

She's the closest person that I have in this house.

Carol would be great to have around because she's not

so closely aligned with Dustin.

I'd keep Carol in the house because she's not

aligned with everyone, so she'd be,

like, easier to-- to use later.

I want to keep Amber in the house,

just because I feel like I have a very strong bond with her.

The reason that Amber should go

is because she is a strong competitor in this game.

I'd want to get Carol out of here

because she seems to have some kind of inconsistencies

with her attitude.

And that makes me a little weary of keeping her.

The reason to evict Amber would be because of the fact

that she's getting really close with Dustin.

And I'm not sure where his head is at.

Welcome back to "Big Brother ."

Before entering the "Big Brother" house,

it had been nearly two years since Danielle

had spoken to her father, d*ck.

To get to the bottom of this family feud,

we asked d*ck's son, Vincent, and d*ck's mother,

Charlotte, just what kind of father is this man

who calls himself Evil d*ck.

[music playing]

Being a mom of three, with a white picket fence, a husband

for years, a minivan, coaching

basketball, what is your opinion of me, as a father?

You can tell me.

I'm not going to cry.

I'm a big boy.

I don't have an opinion.

I'm not buying it.

Well, Evil d*ck is my dad and Danielle is my sister.

My sister hasn't talked to my dad in the last two years

because, at one point, he let her borrow money for something

and she wasn't able to pay it back.

And the way he handled it wasn't the best way to handle it

and she didn't like that.

So, basically, she stopped talking to him for two years.

It's been going on for so long.

I don't know what my dad can do to change

the situation between us.

I like your dad, actually.

But he's not your dad.

No, I know. I know what you're saying.

I know-- from your perspective.

Well, I grew up with my grandparents,

too, so it's different, you know?

He's never like ever been there.

When Richard became a father, he was only .

I think it was confusing.

The whole fatherhood was not what he expected.

It's like most parents-- you don't realize your life

is over as you know it.

And it's a whole different life.

I do think Richard is trying to get closer to Danielle.

He's always wanted to be close to her.

How weird and sad is it that I convince my daughter

and she's here.

It's a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.

It could be really good for our relationship,

but it can also destroy it.

And that's the-- that's--

that's the catch .

At least we're talking now.

I have the hardest game in this house.

I'm here to win $, and I'm here

to win the love of my daughter back, the relationship

with my daughter back.

It's important to me that my dad my sister

mend their relationship, because our family is small

and kind of broken up, as is.

We are all that we, essentially, have,

and that we can't lose that.

Since entering the "Big Brother" house,

Kail has proven herself to be a tough player,

winning the first Head of Household competition,

then, quickly and quietly, forming

an alliance with three strong, young men at her beck and call.

Let's talk to Kail, who is alone in the HOH bedroom.

Hi, Kail.

Hi.

Your housemates are downstairs in the living room

and they are not able to hear you.

So please, feel free to speak your mind.

OK.

Once you became Head of Household,

you quickly formed an alliance with three of the men.

Yes, I did.

Why all men?

Well, that wasn't my plan coming into the house,

but Zach approached me first.

And I looked around at the girls.

And there's such an age difference

that I ran with Zach's idea.

And that's how the alliance formed.

JULIE: Well, the men have been responding well to you

in the house.

I mean, Eric, for example, he had a very emotional

conversation with you.

Were you surprised that he would confide in you?

Yes.

At first, I was surprised.

But then, when I think about my age, and being older,

and someone who seems to be a little bit less talkative,

I think he felt he could trust me.

when she decided that she wanted to really take

is her loyalty, to me, down the line would last

longer than it would Amber.

The only reason, at this point in time,

to evict Carol is she's a strong player-- at least

she's stronger than Amber.

I wouldn't want to keep Carol in the house at all.

I mean, I do like watching her try to save herself,

but she's not going to.

Eric is facing a challenge that no "Big Brother"

house guest has ever faced--

he is playing the game for you, as the first ever

America's Player.

Only Eric knew that he would be coming into the house

as America's Player.

His family and friends didn't have a clue.

Before we get started, I want to make sure Eric

is here with us in spirit.

Eric has watched every single season of "Big Brother."

I can't imagine a person, more than Eric,

who really wants to be there.

I'm Eric and no one's ever played this game like me

before.

He's almost a historian on the show.

He could tell you every contestant from every year,

and what they did, and didn't do.

And he has plotted this out in his mind for eight years.

I'm hopeful that there's no revelation that Eric

My reaction is a little mix.

He's such a fan and he has the strategy,

you know, all laid out.

And now we're a little concerned that, you know,

he's not necessarily going to get to do everything he wants.

We're going to win this thing and I'm going to do this.

Come on, do it with America.

But I think that he's going to roll with America's Player.

And I think that he's going to have the advantage

of having America behind him.

I think he knows the game well enough that I don't

think it's going to throw him.

I actually think it's going to excite him.
