Ta ta for now!

What a bust.

I used a month's worth of my

I can't believe you had the

suit.

What are we gonna do?

Your meeting to sign the

contract is in an hour.

Sharon, I really want this.

I know you do.

And I want it for you; just not

this way.

I know!

You can tell them you won't

promote the clothes with fur on

them.

It's not perfect but at least

you'd be taking a stand.

Okay, if it means that much

to you I'll do it.

(Belinda laughing)

You're telling me you'd only

like to promote half our line

and still get all the perks?

(Laughing)

Yeah, that's gonna happen.

Seriously, I understand your

concerns.

Despite what your bunny friend

says, and yes, don't think I

didn't recognize her, the

animals we use are treated just

fine.

But what about the part where

they're k*lled?

I don't think that part's fine

for them.

It's an all-or-nothing deal,

Maria, and there are thousands

of other boarders who'd love

this chance.

Are you going to sign or not?

(Ethan laughing)

Okay, little buddy, where'd

you throw my glasses?

(Ethan laughing)

Here she comes!

Well, did she go for it?

No.

Oh Maria, there will be other

competitions.

Hey, we heard about your

sponsorship.

Way to go, Wong.

This your first batch of free

stuff?

Check it out!

Wow, this stuff is great.

How did you score this gig?

You signed the contract?!

She didn't give me any

choice.

It was an all-or-nothing deal.

Then you should have gone for

nothing.

You wanted Maria to turn this

down?

This is mink.

If she agrees to wear it she's

saying it's okay to k*ll animals

for the sake of fashion.

But people are gonna buy this

stuff whether Maria wears it or

not.

That's not the point.

We each need to take a stand.

One less purchase means one less

animal k*lled.

No it doesn't.

The animals have already been

k*lled.

For this batch of coats, yes.

But, if nobody buys them they'll

stop making them.

But put the shoe on the other

foot.

What if you were asked to model

in, like, Vogue magazine but you

had to wear fur.

I wouldn't do it!

Easy for you to say.

You, modelling in Vogue?

Never gonna happen.

Maria?

This is the coolest thing

that has ever happened to me,

Sharon.

I'm not gonna blow it.

I'm sorry, but this is your

issue not mine.

Uh, guys, I'm like a blind

man over here.

Seriously--

(Shattering)

Oh no.

(Gasping)

(Ethan laughing)

You have no idea what I'm

talking about, do you?

I know exactly how you feel.

How can my so called best

friend be so against me?

I'm trying to do the right

thing.

Why can't she understand that?

Reminds me of how I got this

tie in the first place.

I'm sorry I didn't wear it.

Hey, do you think I ever

wanted to wear any tie my whole

life?

So, why do you have this one?

Well, I was goin' out with

this girl and for our one year

anniversary she really wanted to

go to this she-she restaurant

and they wouldn't let you in the

joint without a tie.

It was totally against my

principles: the idea that you

had to look a certain way to be

acceptable.

Anyway, no matter what I said

this girl didn't want to go

anywhere else.

This place had been written up

in a magazine or somethin'.

So what happened?

I asked her over to my place,

had the restaurant cater the

dinner, and bought this tie for

the occasion.

Dad, you gave in then!

Not at all.

This girl was free to go to that

restaurant but just not with me.

And I was free to wear a tie

when I wanted; not when a

restaurant told me to.

In between all that we had a

pretty nice dinner.

Did she keep going out with

you after that?

Sort of.

She married me.

That girl was mom!?

I can't believe it!

Wow!

You can't force Maria to

fight your cause, honey.

But you can fight it for

yourself.

Where your friendship ends up is

where it ends up.

Dad, that's what I'm worried

about.

Look where you and mom ended up:

divorced!

How can you call this your lucky

tie?

Hey, no matter what ups and

downs your mother and I have had

we agree on one thing: we are

the luckiest people around

because we have you and your

brothers.

(Sighing)

So what you're saying is--

What are you saying again?

Be true to yourself,

sweetheart, and you can't go

wrong.

(Sighing)

So tomorrow's the big product

launch and I should be totally

stoked, right?

I mean this is the biggest thing

to happen to me ever.

But can I enjoy it?

No.

Because all I can think about is

Sharon and her stupid "the poor

animals!"

Is that fair?

Hey, are you even listening?

The baby!

Is he okay!?

Didn't your aunt go home

today?

I mean, Belinda told me the

animals are treated fine.

Can you believe I miss him?

Connor!

Maria, I can't take this

anymore.

You and Sharon are as bad as

Ethan and me.

Huh!?

You're each not understanding

what the other person's saying.

Oh, I know what she's saying:

that her cause is more important

than my life!

I think she's saying that she

wants you to understand her

cause better.

Oh.

Do I have to?

Yes, if you want to save your

friendship you have to at least

try.

Okay, here's some data on the

fur farm where Radical Tundra

gets their pelts.

Any questions; I'll be over

there.

(Meowing)

(Purring)

"Minks are kept in cages only

1 x 3 feet with up to 4 animals

per cage"?

"The cages are filthy, crusted

with excrement--"

"Minks are getting k*lled at

5 months of age.

k*lling methods are gruesome."

We have a film that covers

several fur farms if you'd like

to see it.

One of our people went

undercover.

I should warn you it's not

pretty.

(Meowing)

(Minks screeching)

(Electricity zapping)

Oh, now I know why this is so

important to Sharon.

Your trailer's over there.

You'll be doing about 6 outfit

changes along with a few other

boarders.

There she is!

Hey!

What are you guys doing here?

We came down to cheer on our

favourite boarder.

Come on, Maria.

We need to get you into makeup.

See you guys later.

See you later.

(Beeping)

Elkford Cable Station?

I'm just confirming that you're

sending a crew to Sunny Peaks.

Oh, believe me, it'll be worth

it.

CONNOR: Why are you calling

the news station?

Connor!

What are you doing here?

I'm here to support Maria.

What about you?

I'm standing up for what I

believe in.

I'm ready to take my protest

against Radical Tundra to the

next level.

Okay, this will be the first

outfit you wear today.

This deal is going to make you

famous.

When the news crew shows up

I'm going to climb the

scaffolding next to the runway.

When the show starts I'll open

my duffle bag and let loose tons

of anti-fur pamphlets.

Then I'll take out my megaphone

and make a speech.

And it will all be caught on the

6 o'clock news.

Is it brilliant or what?

Except for one thing: your

best friend is in that show,

Sharon.

I know that, but she's made

her choice and I've made mine.

I don't agree with what

Maria's doing either.

But, she's still my friend.

And I can't believe you'd

humiliate her like that.

Welcome to the Radical Tundra

Hello Winter Fashion Show.

(Cheering)

We've got a truly tantalizing

new sportswear line and it will

be modelled today by some of our

hottest new snowboarding talent

starting with Maria Wong.

(Crowd cheering)

SHARON NARRATING: The moment

I saw Maria I realized I

couldn't go through with it.

Connor was right.

Even if I totally disagreed

with her I couldn't do this to

a friend.

Isn't that a fine jacket?

Hey everyone, I just wanna

say I love my new Radical Tundra

stuff but it would all be so

much cooler and just as warm

without the fur trim.

(Gasping)

Save our animals!

(Gasping)

Maria, give me back the

microphone now.

Maria.

Maria, give me that!

I'm here to announce the

beginning of Radical Tundra's

new commitment to fur free

sportswear!

(Crowd cheering)

All right, Maria!

Yeah!

Woo!

Go, Maria!

Yeah!

I couldn't believe what Maria

had just done.

I couldn't believe what I'd

been about to do.

Hi.

Hi.

I confess that I can see it

might be a popular idea to be

fur free and now that you've

made your announcement to the

press the higher-ups have told

me to run with it.

But, that said, we can't risk

having such a volatile,

duplicitous, ungrateful--

Underhanded representative.

You're fired.

I'm really sorry, Maria.

I know how much this meant to

you.

It's okay.

She was a jerk.

Besides, I got a new board from

'em.

What made you change your

mind?

Well, Connor and I did a

little research into Radical

Tundra's fur farms.

I can't believe what you did

up there.

I think it took more guts

wearing a bunny suit into

Belinda Lightburn's office.

Actually, I only did that

'cause of Connor.

CONNOR: Me?

You were willing to do

anything to get a response from

Baby Ethan.

I'm glad somebody was

entertained.

(Giggling)

I think we should celebrate.

Great idea!

Let's go for veggie sushi.

Nah, I'm sick of veggie.

Let's go for Mexican something.

Mexican gives me a stomach

ache.

So we'll grab some pizza.

What was wrong with sushi

again?

I don't feel like it.

Oh no.

(Laughing)

Just when I thought we were
