seconds you got to have patience to do

this you hold it up I just had it for

like 4 and 1/2 seconds put it on or 2

and 1/2 seconds you have to bring your

back your head really far so that it's

kind of resting on your forehead more

behind me but it wasn't behind behind me

so when I went to go sit down on the

chair I accidentally sat on the floor

boom when I was playing on my little

baseball team it was my first season I

wasn't paying attention I was playing

left uh right field and uh a ball hit me

on the head zoops my most embarrassing

moment was in the petting zoo when I

thought I was petting a turtle and I was

actually petting a rock

M welcome to Cafe Zoom today we're going

to be making ice cream sandwiches sent

in by ktie h of Windfield Missouri you

can use any type of cookie and any

flavor ice cream you could also use

frozen

yogurt a one quart of ice cream and 30

cookies makes 15 sandwiches here's what

you

do take a cookie and scoop some ice

cream onto it

you might want to leave it at room

temperature for a while to let it

soften oh

yeah strawberry ice cream is one of my

favorites okay a little bit

up then top it off for the second

cookie it down pretty hard all right

I'm going to roll mine in chocolate

chips this looks really

good once they're finished put them in

the freezer so that they

Harden here's a bunch that I've already

made this one is chocolate cookies with

peppermint stick ice

cream this one is chocolate chip cookies

with strawberry ice cream rolled in

chocolate chips and this one I dipped in

melted

hi my name is Breezy and I'm 12 years

old and I've been coming out to this

Lake for 2 years and I paddle almost

every day of the week and I even come

out here on days like this when it's so

cold what are you waiting for let's go

stretch come on I love being part of a

team my team is the Seattle caman kayak

club we all practice really hard in the

winter so you can be ready for the

racing season in the summer I enjoy

kaying because it's really different and

unique from other sports and I have so

many friends here and it's almost like

my second home it's so cold today I

think my feet are going to freeze off

now we're taking our boat out so we can

go

paddle the boat I'm pading today is a K2

and I'm pading with my best friend Lizzy

the K2 is a kayak that made for two

people and this is a very Tippy boat and

it's really hard to learn in because

it's really Tippy oh my gosh the water

in the boat's Frozen these boats are

called Flat Water Sprint boats and

they're called that because the whole

point is to go

fast to make the boats go fast and go

how you want them to and control them

you have to practice and you have to

have the right technique sometimes if

you don't have the right technique

you'll flip but that's just part of the

sport today I'm going to go out and do a

time tral I'm going to go try to beat my

best time which is 2 minutes and 20

seconds and it's going to be on 500 M

and if I don't then that's why I'm out

here in the winter I want to work hard

and I want to be able to beat it so I

can be one of the fastest during the

racing season

go for a sport that seems so simple

there's so many things to learn and so

many different techniques and if you

don't learn those then you won't be as

summer so all that matters is that it's

if you took say you had okay I have two

of each color I have two clears two

blues and two

yellows then I need to pull up

three and then I'd always need to pull

out one more so it's the number of

marbles plus one extra one

equals equals the number that you'll

need to get a pair oh yes that's so cool

so if I had 49 I need to pull

out 50 yeah because then I I might pull

out 49 separate colors and then I'd

always need one extra one to be sure to

get a pair I get that rule oh cool

you need is a banana and a toothpick

before showing your friends this trick

poke some holes into the banana using

toothpick the hole should be about an

inch

apart then using the

toothpick just work your way around

inside the ban B to pre- slice

it you want to get it at all different

angles and make sure you go all the way

through the

banana do this for all the

holes okay then gather some friends to

watch the

trick the Kent of karate chop the

banana and show them that there's no

holes or slices

anywhere

then open it

up to reveal your magically sliced

banana

Tails how snowflakes got their shape

Virginia there once was a village on a

stratus cloud it was the village of

snowflakes there were lots of snowflake

children Jack and Willie were best

friends they looked exactly alike Chloe

and Tommy were twins they also looked

exactly alike in fact all the snowflake

Children looked exactly

alike strange things started to happen

when they all went to school Miss Frost

their teacher could not tell the

snowflakes apart she would have to call

each of them by name just to see who was

who Jack and Willie had a great idea

they all went to see the winter King

Willie and Jack nervously asked excuse

me master sir we mean Mr winter King why

are we all the same Jack said can we be

different Mr winter King replied well

you see young snowflake kids should all

be the same look the same act the same

etc etc etc so you'll be equal Chloe

said please Mr winter King can we all

have our own individual pattern that we

can be proud of Mr winter King said but

you will be different they all said yes

must promise to accept each other and

your differences they all promised that

they would Mr winter King said very well

you will all be different and he raised

his wand to this day the snowflake

children are still different getting

along is sometimes a little hard but

much more fun

okay we've been trying to find out if

more people are squares or rectangles to

do this kids from all around the country

have been measuring their height the

distance from their head to their toes

and their arm spin the distance from the

longest finger on their left hand to the

longest finger on the right hand if the

two measurements are the same then

they're squares but if the two

measurements are different then they're

rectangles this is a pie chart showing

all the data we've received so far as

you can see slightly more girls are

rectangles and slightly more guys are

squares maybe that's because girl girls

grow taller before the arms go longer

that would make them rectangled yeah but

the number of boys and girls who are

square and rectangles is still prettyy

close it'll be interesting to see

what'll happen when we get more data so

make sure you collect your data measure

the height and our span of you your

friends and your family write down if

they're a boy or a girl and how old they

are then send your results to zoom
